does anyone know if a seaman improves aircraft and fighter skill for pilots? I have a
level ~60 seaman on my seydlitz but he doesnt seem to do anything at all. I read in the
tips and tactics forum that seaman definitely works I just wanted to know if he helps
fighters. maybe he just needs to be higher level?

CV with L65 FTs + no seaman = gets shredded by T3
CV with L65 FTs + L71 seaman w/ 140 vets = competes with T3
CV with L65 FTs + L111 seaman w/ 360 vets = eats LFT

From a mod testing and answering my support ticket, using multiple seaman is
pointless.

Seaman do improve the fighters ability, but at level 60 it would only be a small ability
revision, and hence, improvement.

IMHO Seaman (& Medics) aren't noticeable until you remove them, at which point their
revision ability becomes apparent. This however, may just be imagined, but given the crew
deaths CV's experience, every little bit will help keep you sane.

Additionally, I'm not sure that seaman don't stack, as some testing by previous fleetmates
seem to indicate they do.

At low levels you may notice a slight improvement opn your crew. The seaman must be full
BVE and higher then your ship. When you get to be high level though a seaman will do
little to no good for you. That goes for bb and cv.

my friend made some test in the test server long ago and claim:

Seaman:

Works only for the place it is (if its in support, it work for sailor in support slots. If
its on the ship, works only on the ship

Ability doesnt stack. 1 seaman is enough

Really makes a difference on the fighter when it got a good fighter stat

Personnally, I just tested in game on other people accs, and I found with regularly vetted
pilots I was sometime owning CVs at a much higher level (Gz2 owning cv5. PCV weren't there
then)

it works. but not really for level 60. my seaman level 115 with 160 vets makes a lil
different. but for my self, i am not 100% sure for that. to many other things are
there to feel a real different...like shadow allready sayed.

tell me... how can you REALLY measure that!?

stick him on the CV and run it in GB?

haha, too many factors to test, including the fact that controlling the planes improves
their survivability.

i can't really say a seaman works, but those i know who has one, claims it does it's job,
on higher lv than 60 just to mention.
