NM'45: faster, smaller (slightly), looks exactly like '30, more displacement, better arcs
Colorado: more AAW (not that it does much), one more bind of ammo, more DP (?)

Only if he was masochistic enought to grind two BOs to that level. But I went NM and am currently in the NM30. I will tell you that you can do well in it, but its a tough learning curve along the lines of the Northhampton. If you make a mistake in a game with it, you will most certainly pay for it. I can use the guns of the NM45 but with only 1 bind of ammo so I know that once the '45 rolls around, it will be a nice ship. The Colorado has similar stats to the NM so I can also presume it to be as decent as the NM45.

Bottom line- It depends on how bad you want out of the Guam. Personally, at level 64 the Guam was really coming into its own. You already know the gun, you have awesome speed(prolly the best in the game for its firepower), and its pretty maneuverable. This boat will only get better as your spread gets better. So unless you really, really want a NM30, you could just stay in the Guam till 70 then choose either NM45 or CO.

BTW-If you go NM30 I recommend using the triple 12 Mk8Ls. You already know their range so it will help you out, plus none of your other choices have any range. Also, be prepared for an 11knt speed nerf. It is the most painful thing about the NM. That said, once you learn how to use it, it can be a good boat.
