I have never really favored the AD for anything over the O1 - O2 - Gnei or Bis. Apart from
support slots.

What ever the case... everyone should use what ever ship that will get them to the O2,
which is just a ballin ship.

I didnt get to Bismark as I went O Project ....... and I find the 14.?? Ds are great with
heavy He on O Pro if you do tripple duty with your gunners. Ie ....... use them on
europa and T4 SS. When the gunners are about 11 levels higher then the guns you
can block shot most times. Also ....... my crew on O Pro does not all fit the AD
anymore to which I loose support to drive the AD. BO is 77 and gunners are 93 , no
sailors are turned down and gunners are elite boosted vetted and experted. O Pro
is also armoured up as well.
Main point is that eventually you will run out of weight for your crew on the AD.

me, I'd go with bismark because its just a sedimental ship to me.

Practically I'd have to say the AD. Its got alot of guns and cover and is very small. Not
to mention you can use it 15 levels earlier.

I used both the Scharnhorst and Andrea Doria until I hit level 68 and remodeled to the
Gneisenau. I absolutely despise using the AD, even now. I currently use the Bismarck. If
your engineers are lower leveled, the AD is not forgiving and you will move like a slow
heap of metal, especially under level 70. I dropped the AD altogether and used the
Gneisenau for some great fun. It's a super fast ship that can hold 14.96" guns and pack
a punch. The Gneisenau is a BB2. If you cruise alongside the bigger BBs at the
beginning of the match, just wait for the stupid rushers to try to get through and
pummel them with the 15 inchers. Easy attack = more exp. That's not helpful for fighting
BBs, but you most likely won't get the opportunity to fight them anyways. Grind up to
Bismarck and then unleash hell. Right off the bat, the improved second set 14.96" Ls
have almost the same range as the lvl 63 11" long-range guns, but pack an even bigger
punch. Use that in GB's and GB 2's and you will like it a lot better than the AD. It is
actually satisfying to land a good hit on another BB and know you dealt them hurt.

I큟 sure we have to go for the AD because 3 single things

1) we can get it faster (lvl 65 only)
2) we have more slots for more time for more sailors
3) the bismarck line is a hard one

The thing is, I've never played BB with at level gunners. After my initial frustrations in
blitz with Balti's at level, non BVE, spread I never played US with at level gunners
again. But just going by durability and how much easier it is to make up for mistakes I
would say US/UK is easier. With KM one wrong move and you are 2 shot.

well, My first line was US, as I mentioned. But my second was UK (making KM #3). I stand
by my previous statements. DD-BB2 grind was Far easier in KM than any other nation I've
worked through (including IJN for this, as I have IJN BB2). In terms of BB3... at lvl,
other nations don't even compare with the easy play provided by Bismark and O2. The only
thing close was the BB3 vanny. The BB3 version of the KGV was also Very Fun at lvl... but
both of those ships were killed by the last ONF.

I think it's also the experience you have from leveling a first BB line. I went KM first
with a nooblet crew and ghastly tactics; 2 repairmen, 2 restorers and 2 engineers with <20
vets along with L version guns and heavy HE up until starting on the O Pro II.

The second time going for a BB, started out with a proper crew, three repairmen and four
engineers that were fully BVE'd before level 50. Plus, it helps that ONF pt.1 happened
before I started my USN crews.

eh, I dunno v2. At lvl in km you can lay back and use your speed and range in BB1-2. not
to mention Awesome at lvl aa. In US you have to get well into enemy range to get attack.
Also, my At lvl US was FAR WORSE in terms of spread than my at lvl KM. At bb3 lvl, it'd
be foolish to pick anything US over anything KM.
