As the title says, has the Iowa range been buffed? I seem to never be able to range
Iowas, but they can still hit me :s..

Anyhelp is welcome,

Thanks for the DP stat chart Pegleg.

Finally I'm finding I average around 80~90k a game in my Yamato. I think I've finally
found her rythme and the IJN gunstyle is very effective once learned. I think what
my problem was before was that I was rushing too late instead of seizing the
opportunity when a scout was downed immediately.

Cheers all,

Krauts: I created a spreadsheet to calculate DP gunners cap. If you tell me vets,
current rel ability, what level you classed at I'll tell you where you cap (although I'm
guessing at the cap level since it has been buffed).

There is some uncertainty as to the new reload cap post-buff. If the old dp gun
reload cap was 1,950,000 true ability (Adalbert's guide) then the new post-buff level
should be 20% higher, so lets say 2,340,000.

You say that your gunners are 13 and 12 reload which makes them 11 and 10
reload.

If you have 130 vets, 11 base reload and you classed the "wrong way" you hit that
cap at level 113 vs 108 for the "correctly levelled" sailor.

If 100 vets, then level 117 "wrong way" and level 112 for "right way".

At level 82, your 11 base gunner would have about 1.3mm in true ability with 130
vets. That means you reload at 65% of the gun's published reload time. At the cap
you'll be able to reload in 40% of the time.

Thanks for the help Jim,

As for my Engies, I was uber noob and didn't level any when I started the game -.-'
as of now theyr are all (4) lvl 78 with one lower at lvl 54 (going to level when I get
to SY). I will post my screeny of my ship/crew in a day or so, hopefully that'll give an
insight on what it looks like.

Cheers,

To post images, upload to a site like tinypic, then copy/paste the 'direct link for
layout' or equivalent box into this fun equation with a less than sign in front of the
"img src="

img src="insertyourpicurlhere">

And nice job sinking a nebby, but that 24/36 OH is pretty meh; I know that since the patch
that yammy OH ratio increased, but that's about what I had with 4 about at-lvl engys
(~lvl85, +11 bve tho).

at level classed...

I'd say around lv 110 or so, unless you uber BVE them.

I'm pretty sure www.nf-guides.com has a screenshots section near the bottom.

edit : yamato hits hard if you can get a decent spread. 2 shotted a L2 many times.

edit again: woot, lv 18.

Well I finally finished BVEing my supports completely,

So I've now got complete 900 SD and I travel at 24/36. I know Skill>Crew>Ship, but
hopefully with the added OH time, speed and durability I will be able to do a little bit
better. Also, does anyone know the acc/rel caps for IJN DP gunners? Alas I classed
mine at AA gunner lvl :( They are currently lvl 83, 81 bve +13/13 and +12/12 (with
Boost, do not remember base..)

**EDIT/UPDATE**

Just took on a Nebraska 2 v2 (him and an AD vs me and an iowa) and I ended up
sinking him + knocking some DP off the AD. Final Attack in game was 121k ^^
Getting used to Yammy play shows how beastly it is

Thanks,
Krauts08

PS> I woudl post a screen of my crew but I donno how to post them..

aingeal
nah just rush my ass.

Can't aim to save my life :)

But he does have a point. I've seen a QV bolting and running like mad against my H44
today...never got near in range lol. and he had visual on me when he first bolted. Still
wondering what happened.

A good thing is what angus said, faking a rush. Against L2s it works like a charm, they
normally see their chance to rush you.

But Yammy is equiped with an anti-scout AA...use it. Its mainly to create those opportunities.

I normally keep a mental note of who will run if rushed and who wont, and the
general skill level of people.

for example, if I see tbagg shooting at a svast beside me, I'll fictory rush him.

if I see aingeal shooting at a AD beside me, I'll try to blind him, or fake a rush, or
somthing.

Thanks for answers all,

As for rushing in the Yamato I only really do that when they're blind. Or if I'm aiming
for extra attack against CVs then i rush with front turret. But the range loss is too
much to fush for me.
