Hi I d like to make a cv and I want it to have 1 or 2 gunners to defend itself in cases
how should I make these gunners ?

Some of my questions are :

Should they be AA gunners or normal gunners ?

If AA gunners classed in time ?

Can KM AA gunners fire shells (HE-AP) which can damage ships also ?

Assuming there are 2 gunner slots is 1 gunner enough or should I go with 2 ?

How should I level my crew till I get Seydlitz ?

I think he prefers Gunners from AAs for protection against SS4s ( coming soon). Even me id
definitely choose gunners over AAs...hated already SS3s, how much more the SS4s. >:[


btw, gunners can use DP guns or HH which is good for both Planes and SS/DD/CL...

I personally recommend AA gunners. Having AA guns (3.46" or KM40) on Seyd and GZ1 can be
very useful to deal with being fighter camped. I'm pretty sure AA gunners cannot fire HE
or AP on any guns. Definitely go with 2 gunners, and definitely class on time.

For the aa gunners I find the first classing is fine. The other classing don't really
improve anything other than slight rld increase but mostly hurting acc. Real gunners are
more useful in the end because in theory your fighters will be able to keep your air space
somewhat under control

I wouldn't recommend gunners on a CV, though occasionally, normal gunners, with
Hedgehogs is fun against SS, DD's & small ships.

More effective against small 'humping' ships is belt armour, & KM CV's can carry a lot of
belt.

I'd also recommend the Moltke over the other KM CA's for levelling due to the extra crew
slot available.

Uh no I'm pretty sure admiral hipper is a pretty crappy aa boat

there is DP guns that fire both AA and other shells for AA gunner to use.
anyway, as said at the above, when you need to use the gun......

besides, the gun damage is really low! even they reload fast, the total output...err...maybe
can beat DD due to your defence is greater though

-> Nope. But if you in a CV and need to fire at ships... Chances are something went
badly wrong already.
