what ouwak means is:
"KM is a great nation but their range advantage relies on subtility I heavily lack, thus failing on playing the nation. Tough, since I dont want to admit that I might be the cause of the fail, lets go to KM subforum and whine at the nation without brining any valid point to support my view other than: "I dont get result with a nation, then the nation must sux""
I missed somethin in thehelms post that I just saw.
His whole paragraph about being parrallel when firing to lessen the accuracy issue of the ship lenght. Well its what slingshotting fix. True, KM hit less hard. Also true, that less hard does not mean any ship can just shrug off the 44 salvo. Therefore, working to have the best accuracy you can is always a +. Slingshotting completely suppress the ship lenght factor, which is VERY useful.
Should you be unable to slingshot well tough, helms way is the way to go. DO know that to really unlock the aggressive potential of KM tough, you'l need the slingshot in an aggressive move to enhence your hit and run movement and get out of the way in time. Without it, you need to be closer to the target, and your behind will be clipped by the returning salvo.
Keep in mind aggressiveness is relative. what can be seen as an "aggressive" H44 would be call a "conservative" L2.
Something I like doing, but it requieres that you have a good spread that you can count on (gunner 110+) and accuracy with your angle: Get a first slingshot hit. Draw him into rushing. Counter rush and finish the job. Done right nobody expect the Km ship to RUSH as helms explained. Also the first shot has eaten enough SD so you only need one well aimed shot to finish the fight.
I've rushed killed Monty and L2 in broad daylight that way.
If it is possible to cut off visual fast (single scout in AA range) then sometimes the job gets easier. Personnaly H44 became by far my favorite BB5, and I've tried them all...safe the alsace.
Maybe its just that my playstyle fit the line, but KM has by far my favorite ships. Safe for BB2. Penn 43 just have captured my heart.
