  • 4.1" AA, what use is it?

So I just saw that we have a 4.1" AA model (Sk C/33 A), and was wondering what people
thought about it. Same reload as the KM40s, so what's the advantage to the 4.1s over the 5
or 3.46" AA options?

i used it along with the KM40 on the H44

this was quite ok, since when planes got through the KM40 the 4.1s knocked em down

Id agree with rich here. The 4.1AA and the KM40s dont have same angles, in my experience,
33 is the golden angle of the 4.1AA and as for the KM 40s its 32.I can shoot down planes
better with that angle.

Amen to that.

But I agree that it makes it efficient enough with the Km40 on the smaller H39 and H44
slot, as it allows you to attack 2 different height pretty much. So if you slightly
overaimed, the 4.1 pass right under to correct your nubness, and take the cake.

At any rate, however, I mostly use AA to protect myself against bombers, and the
occasionnal scout, but im often on the front line and in GB2 blinding totally an opponent
is a bit hard if they have a decent CV.

Therefore I prefer the 3.46 over the KM40/4.1 combo.

Yes, range and angle is the same.

Obvious, clueless who doesn't even bother test and in hurry to trust what they fail to fix.

Talk about what you know, don't spread false information.

in one of the BB patches they made those two KM guns both at 1.2 seconds and golden angle
of 32

"On some KM BBs (eg. O proj or Schnar) there are different T places. On the smaller ones
apply the
4.1", on the larger ones apply the 5", so u will have approximately the same ammo too.
Same reload
speed, range and normal angle, just a bit less damagae. "

Since when is the range and angles the same.... Oh wait they arnt.

IF u have good enough aa gunner (not at level) 4.1" are the best guns for emden in
my opinion. u need to move less to get the planes as u will hit MUCH farther.
i scraped 3.46" since a long time. they are good only when ur aa gunners sucks...
then they have the disadvantage to fire "too faster than you need", wasting shells.

i actually last and do more credits for the entire battle with 4.1". also they have 32
degrees which is in my opinion a wonderful golden angle(like KM40 or uk 5.25" QF L).

guns with 36 degrees have somewhat a less linear degree change to find the angle
for planes not to max height. the lesser the golden angle, the less angles u will have
to change to hit the planes. i have to say also that i was so used to play with 4.1" in
emden that i was knowing better the angles with them than with km40(thou the
difference is very little).

just stick to 32-33-34 degrees (the nearer the planes, the higher the degree u have
to put. 32 is best at max distance, 33 at half, 34 at 2/5 distance... nearer... well pray
for the random god and wish for a lucky shot with 45-55 degrees :P)
