  • M Project setup for small Blitz maps

Most of the old posts for MPro, including Splid's guide, recommend using the
lvl 39 X2 6.75"/40 SK L/40s L guns for all full size Blitz maps.
Now the default Blitz map is 1/4 size and most ppl choose it, was wondering if
these guns are still the best to use for max score/exp/enjoyment.
Even with the Z99, I find myself unable to use it's full range sometimes with
many DD/CL1 rushers, even being boxed in the corner at times.
So are the lvl 29 X3 5.9"/60 SK C/25 guns the preferred choice, now the
default Blitz map has hindered the MPro
taking full advantage of the 6.75's?.

8" D if you can.

Awesome rld, near 6.75s L range, and quite a punch for a KM CL2.

Of course you need good gunners to have a decent spread with the CL FCS.

In my opinion, use the triples. The default blitz map is too small to take
advantage of range and speed properly.. and the odd battleship will still
nuke you badly. Might as well get some attack before that.

For learning purposes (I'm still in this phase myself to tell the truth) they
probably aren't that good. But in my own experience, I've been much more
useful to the team by running triple 5.9 than either the 6.75 or 8" doubles.

Since every ships range tends to be low in Blitz, you can still play the long
range game even with trip 5.9" guns, just not against CAs/BBs. Try to keep
at maximum range for your guns, flee all the time.. the only thing different
from using longer ranged guns? different angles and you might get shot at
a bit more often. One might even say the keeping range part becomes
more important, thus more easily learned?

One last point.. it's a team game, you're a good team player if you use a
setup that benefits your team the most. Maybe it will hamper your ability to
help the team once you move up a ship class or two? Kinda hard to judge
whether those games in the future are more or less important than the games
you play right now. If you're not having any fun at the moment, you're less
likely to continue playing though and that won't be good for the community in
the long run, so use whatever is enjoyable.

Personally I took a break from Deutschland and played with neutral
Destroyer-02 a good while, just ffffiictorying to my death with autoaiming fcs.
Made me laugh, was so different. I didn't do it completely for laughs of course,
served to level some brand new crews.

I don't think people still learning to play KM should use the trips on the Mpro, but as a
fun weapon for late in the game? Sure, go ahead. I know I've had fun rushing BB4s and 5s
with a 5.9D armed Moltke.

i used the 5.9 trips even on the bigger maps right up to lvl 60, purely because with good
gunners they block and the reload is awesome, i found that my opponents would panic
because of the sheer number of hits they were taking, resulting in poor gunning on their
behalf, you can seriously total up a high amount of attack points with those trips
