  • Can an unboosted fighter still cap?

I have read that most sailors even unboosted and sometimes even ones with
starting stats of +10 can get there in time, given proper lvl of vets for the
crew. I get the feeling USN and KM fighter if unclassed and/or not boosted
probably can but I was wondering about IJN fighters. Based on what people
say about the end being more about the plane than pilot because of caps I
assume even unboosted a IJN fighter can get there.

I guess a side question would be, how much longer would it take for a
unboosted to reach cap limits. The average of 10 lvls behind a boosted to
reach caps, is what I have found in some posts.

I have started an IJN Cv crew and like it so far and if I like it I probably will end
up boosting them if its worth it in the long run. And if this was asked and
answered before let me know I just didn't find it in my search.

True, but bombers affect also . That however, will requieres a high ability in order to be
effective.

So let's say they have dual advantages instead of KM and US that have only "1"

So im wondering if 11(fighter)/11(bomber) stat is good, probably is just takes
some more lvls to get to the point where it is near or within that magic area of
a cap. Im sure better stats would get me there faster but after all the reading
I don't think the stats above will disapoint me.

After reading the onf and other posts and why RN/IJN fighter pilots catch up to
others is because they don't class to sq leader and gain more from the extra
crew because of not classing. Well if all nations don't class past fighter or ace
then doesn't the RN/IJN loss the edge gained in the long run because of the
classing issues?

Using a seaman to improve an ability that is already capped is useless.
Cap is cap. People have tested with a Dbugview, I myself tested it too, and you don't have
an edge.

And if you're planning to have a seaman, be ready to invest tons of vet on it to have a
"noticeable results"
My 200+ vets full experts seaman adds 3 seconds extras overheat on a KM lvl 120 base 11
220 vets full experts engies....

I hope your lvling 2 seaman. Even if you hit the cap, the high lvl players down the line
will tear you up b/c there getting that extra egede they need.

And still learning alot.

I went to the onf forums page so far besides a few posts here that seem to be
law the rest of the post tend to be more confussing. So far the onf forums
seem like a good knolledge base. I guess I remeber looking at a onf web
page a long time ago, just never seen a forum.

Thanks for the help.

That's what most people think, classing to SQ leader for USN and KM will only slow the
process of hitting the cap.

There is that ONF forum made for public where people used to go on test server and balance
stuff.
You learnt lot of stuff from the ONF member.

Doing a little more reading and some people don't believe in a fighter cap and
some do, yet on some post on fighters for the most part put IJN and RN planes
atlest at very high lvls better because they do reach some lvl of equal terms in
fighter ability = to km/usn thus the plane itself is more of a factor.

I guess the better question is then have some IJN Cv users with unboosted
pilots gotten to the point where they are on par with some of the boosted or
elite pilots?

But I guess finding out is half the battle.

**edit**
I guess I found my answer in the KM forums about cv from lordsaxon.

"If you can get enough good neuts with those stats, that would be great.
Most of my pilots are only 10/10 or 11/11; they work well enough due to high
level, but better base will help you starting out.

It can be fast as well as taking age.
It can also be reachable as well as unreachable.

No one will leak information about fighters cap. Not even SDE.
None of use have the exact value of fighter cap.

Stick yourself with bunch of anormal number of vets if you hope to reach it.
At least, that's what I am doing.
