  • Starting IJN [BB]

4 days ago i finished the Kaiser grind
Now i am 4 lvl,s away from KM de grasse and i have a ss3 crew with a lvl 46 bo thats
not hard to lvl up so after that i wanted go US CV [almost same as KM] and IJN BB

I can figure it out how to use the 45 angle guns efficiently [yamato SY Amagi]
But i cant find anything about classing sailors and a speed table.

so my 4 questions is

1 how should i class all my bb sailors [if there is anything i should know]

1 bo [+15]
2 gunners [12/10]
2 AA gunners [i guess what i read that should be DP] [11/11]
5 engineers [+12]
3 reps[+12]
1 scout[+12 aircraft i know its inactive but hea i liked the +12 XD]

2 A. What AA guns are there that i can use like for KM the 0,80 sec Guns and the
KM40,s.

2 B. what are the golden angles for those guns.

3 Is there anywhere a speed table like they have for KM
[ how many eng,s and lvl you need to speed cap each ship]

4 what are the speed caps for each bb in the ijn line?
the only 2 i know is SY 42 knots and i think Amagi 39?

Also Best to Have 12/11 Or 11/12 or Elite IJN Gunners. Your Reload will suffer greatly
with 10+ base on reload.

Post-patch, the aircraft stat is now relevant for scouts, so +12 is actually very good.

+15 BO is superfluous really, in Yammy I've had to de-recruit my +14 quite a bit to
get good guidelines. More important for BO is repair/restore stat.

For AA guns there are only two choices for real and that is the dual 4.7 and/or the
trip6.1. The 6.1 are usually one-shot for most planes, but slower reload. Range is
the same for both guns so on your Yam/Super Yam/Amagi you can mix the two.

If you do some AA grinding in levelling up go with Mogami CA (some say CL) with the
6.1 trips. Don't waste money on worthless Asama. Don't waste money on lousy
B65.

Alternatively the dual 3.9 have spam speed but shorter range, use these only for
recreation. Remember you are not levelling your DP gunners from Armament Sailors
until level 65 or 85 so you won't be using Yubari with dual 3.9's in your levelling up.

All class on time but AA gunner . They must delay classed as a armarment sailor till
LV70 or higher . More level delay , lighter crew weight .

The best AA gun of IJN is LV36 Dual 4.7"/45 Type 10 for long range sniper AA . But if
you want something like KM AA gun , spam ability then range , here are some choice .

(1)LV42 Dual 3.9"/65 Type 98 A . golden angle as 38 , 1.2 sec reload time , 83 AA
damege , also carry HE shell . AA range slightly worse then KM40 . NLD version can
be used by armarment sailor , but with both heavy and large , they can't be used as
second battery well .

(2)LV54 Dual 5"/50 Type 3C A . Simillar to Dual 3.9" , slower reload , slightly more
range , less AA damege , better HE damege .

(3)LV48 Dual 5"/40 Type 89 . golden angle as 39 , 1.4 sec reload , 86 AA damege ,
no HE shell . Range worse then Dual 3.9" , just spam AA .

(4)LV34 Dual 3"/60 Type 98 A . golden angle as 48 , 0.96 sec reload , 57 AA
damege , carry HE shell . POMPOM range , not effectly AA gun , but funny .

All of those gun must used by AA gunner or DP gunner . Don't forget power leveling .

IJN BB23 and B65 with CVIII engine (lose 1 knt) can easy to cap with 3 or more at
level engine with decent Vet/Expert (BB1 Kongo auto cap without engine ) , B65 ,
Yamato , and SY cap with 4+ LV100+ BVE +12 engine .

Ans.4
With normal set (all gun , AA or not , 0.2 belt armor). Speed cap of each ship list .

BB1 Kongo 25/42knt
BB2 Fuso/Ise(37) 25/42knt with Dual 14" L , 24/40knt with Dual 16.1" D
BB2 Ise(43) 25/42knt with Dual 12.2" L / Dual 14" N / Dual 14"L , 24/40knt with Dual
16.1" D
BB3 Nagato 25/42knt
BB4 Yamato 24/40knt
BB5 Super Yamato 25/42knt
PBB B65 Project 27/45knt
BB6 Amagi 23/39knt(not sure , I don't have one)

If your crew is too fat to that ship , speed will lose 1 knot or not .
(27/45 -> 26/44 -> 25/42 -> 24/40 -> 23/39)

On time for all of them, except the AA gunners. If you have a B65, class at lv 62/63, if
you don't wait for yamato.

5" AA guns, 3.9"s...but I rarely use any of them. the 4.7"s and 6" trips are just so
much better.

2 B. what are the golden angles for those guns.

No idea after BB34AA patch messed with them. 4.7"/6" trip is 27.

nope, welcome to IJN section.

Amagi 39
SY 42
yamato 40
nagato 40(or 42, depends on crew I think)
fuso is 42 with 14" guns, 40 with 16" (not sure about fat crew)
cant remenber fusos.
