i use them on a CV to keep smaller ships on distance or sink them. that works..but
for AA..mmhh. i prefer the KM40...
those are the one and only guns. u need AA gunners for them. but u can use them
with HE + AA ammo.
range for HE is not pretty good. so dont expect anything. its good enough to sink
some cruisers or maybe subs. but firepower is still low.

spread is not pretty good but not useless. reload time is a way to long for AA except
for high level AA gunners who are caped.

the other problems are the weight of those guns. its double high of the normal AA
guns KM40 (pure AA).

there is an AA gun at high LvL that can use HE shells i use it on my CVs

actually helms, i think the 5.9 duel regular guns are decent for AA. they are like UK RP12s
in terms of fire power/range/spread



not exactly sure which set it is though. all i remember is they are used on Z99

yeeeees.....there are, the AA guns lvl 48 are DP but you need very good gunner for a
decent reload.

KM used to have usable AA-type guns that fired both AA shells and HE, in the form of the
dual 4.1" A guns, but these were changed with the AA patch and now are pure AA guns.

There are no guns usable by AA gunners that can fire HE shells, now, if I recall
correctly. At least, none that are worth carrying. There *are* a few regular guns that can
fire AA shells, but these are pretty lackluster in terms of their ability to kill planes.
