Just go special and you'll be fine(although same would be with hyper) :)

It doesn't matter, there is a cap around lv65 for Torpedo man.

I think it just depends on what matters to you most. if speed is an issue for you then i
wouldn't go special.

Personally unless you are a sub driver, I don't think it will really matter. BVE'd
torpers cap out pretty quickly

Torpedo skill is the only thing that affects your reload speed. Both the hyper and
special were torpedo types that never made it into the game. So, no matter which one you
choose you will use the exact same weapons. So, go special because you get +4 at first
(better than the hyper +3) plus you can class them again to Special KAI to get another +2.

My thinking was: special (+4) and the spc. kai (+2) is better then Hyper (+3).

But i have seen that some one suggested Hyper because Spc. Kai do not exist. This mean
that the actual torpedo does not exist and thus neither the sailor (at level 80do we have
another cassing to do, or not?), or you can class it to Spc Kai but have no special torpedo?
