after a long time i got ijn bb1 kongo?
what will i need watch out(other than my elder bb brothers)?
does it speed cap w/o engies(25/42?)?
what is it specific playstyle?
what will be its hit power(able to mount 12" while revenge gets 15" ones) compared
with other bb1?
most of post i read seems to advice mog/moyoko until fuso.is it only way?

That is very good advice from Shira. I would recommend the 6.1L trips on Mog41
because the 6.1D and 6.1N will start to block as your gunners approach level 60 (but
maybe not if not VE) and block shotting is good for shooting at dd's, but not so good for
AA. You can use your regular gunners for the 6.1 trips and you can use the armament
sailors which you are levelling up to to become dp gunners at level 70 to man the
hedgehogs. You will be a great escort ship with that setup.

Maybe you really need to do some AA in Myoko or Mogami ...

Even if your gunner not VE , Dual 3.9" N/L/D and Triple 6.1" N/L/D can be useful in
AA , repel small ship , and sunk surface submarine .
When your main gunner can use Dual 14" N on Kongo , spread will become usable (
well , not tight ).

You know when to class your DP gunner .

@pegleg i wasnt aware of that many posts.

i did all the guides concerned.but my problem is my aa gunners are lvl 35 (going to
wait for lvl 70-85) and my main gunners are11/11 boosted but not VE.so my spread
is going to be bad and probability of hitting dd is almost nil.so what i am going to do
in kongo while waiting to get sunk?

Of course only do AA if your armament sailors have attained level 65 (or 75) yet. If not,
do not class them just to play AA.

Kongo, like all other BB1 is food for any other bb's. You won't be in it for long.

Also don't buy B65 to break the grind, it is not worth it and no fun.

You sure you read all stickies about IJN BB and gun ? and your search function ?
Boom21 have a perfect IJN BB guide .
but if you need to know ...

1. If youm put on right engine , IJN BB engine heavy , you can speed cap Kongo
without engineer .

2. Every BB1 is food , wait in back and shoot rushing small ship or surface SS before
you have chance to do something . carry some AA or HH/escort ship with sonar can
make your BB1 life not so bored .

3.12.2" with 45 angle have decent firepower compared with BB1 . Total output
better then KM BB1s , MN BB1s , RN Renown and USN Nevada . 14" N hit harder . Try
to shoot enemy ship at max angle , high angle guns make IJN BBs shine .

4.You will have better expert gain rate with AA , good XP with CA hull , and no BB
limit for GBII , always found a room to play . Even Kongo is a nice BB1 , BB1 is food
(especially at level ) . Do some AA will not hurt you .
