How much displacement is required for 8 twenty-inch dual turrets? :)

I've been playing for a WHILE (a yr and a half) but i'm never able to get much
playtime in...

No those are the Trip 6"s that you can also use for the front and back aa for the
Yammy and Super Yammy. The Trips you can only use 4 binds of ammo and they
shoot really slot, but they also are really powerful. I prefer the dual 4.7s for all the
aa on all IJN ships. It is really fast and has better than descent damage output.

Quads for the T slots right?

Yet it seems you haven't played that long. Get more experience with the game mechanics
first, then you'll figure out 90% of the stuff yourself. tbh no use explaining something
if you dont grasp the concept behind it.
