Im downloading this right now. ive been drooling over it on my iphone ever since i
discovered it yesterday. Ive been looking at the Forums and watching videos and
think i know where i want to go. so three questions

1) I think i'm leaning towards run and gun for pretty much the whole time so i know
BB route. i want to be fast with a heavy hit so i can choose when and who i right as
much as possible. i'm thinking the USN is the route. I looked at the KM they seem
too slow and so does the Royal Navy. is this a correct assumtion?

2) what the freaking A uses the sextuple 7.2" MK 11 i can't find anything about it in
the forums or the game but it is in train world. is someone messing with my head or
is that a french gun in the wrong place?

3) I know it doesn't matter that much but i was reading the frigate stuff for
advancing to Level 12 what FFs should i get? i see everything post FF but nothig
about which FF to get. Remember I'm going for damage at range and high speed. i
know it's a FF but I'm thinking for my gunners to advance quickly and so i can get
good at HA and/or hit and run tactics.

PS if you are thinking TW i am not doing id rather AW!

Thanks guys. I keep thinking USN. It's not as specialize but I can play with it a little to figure out what suits me
best. I have actually sunk a few ships now. :). My Bo is 11 now. I'm on the nelson

Here is what I suggest to all new players. This is your basic non-elite crew setup.(If
you would like to use elites, which I suggest if you have the money to spare, then
just replace each crew member below with their appropriate sailor from the website.)
Please make sure that you at least buy a boost (premium sailor $2.49) for each crew
member wither they are elite or not. If you can roll these sailors and level them up
then you should be good to go at the higher levels for BB class ships. You will notice
that I suggest that you level two BO뭩. The reason for this is pretty simple.

a) It will allow your gunners to out level your BO. (This is the biggest reason) It will
help to make sure that you can always use the best guns for each ship class once
you get into mid range to higher levels.

b) It will allow you to play both BB lines at the same time.

c) Once you get to BB4 - BB5 level, you can use a BO reset to make one BO on the
Sub or CV route.

You will need a total of 14 crew members for a BB6. This is after all your end goal of
playing a BB in the first place. Out of that 14: BO & main gunners need to be at lvl
120. The other 11 sailors will need to be at least lvl 115. You will also need to have
50 million credits and 20 million points to buy the BB6. With all that said, below is the
crew chart that I would use. If you would like to be faster (aka more over heat time
not more knots), then you can always add one more engineer and take away one
repairer.

Bridge Operator
+15 BO
+15 BO

Main Gunners
+12/11 Acc/Reload Gunner
+12/11 Acc/Reload Gunner

AA Gunners
+11/12 Reload Gunner
+11/12 Reload Gunner

Support Crew
+12 Engines
+12 Engines
+12 Engines
+12 Engines

+12 Repairs
+12 Repairs
+12 Repairs
+12 Repairs

Special Forces
+12 Aircraft (Scout)

P.S. May I suggest that you start with the US nation for your first BB route. They are
generally the easiest to play for people starting off. They are also the best balanced
nation as far as BB뭩 go. I would also suggest that you learn the manual firing
system (Aiming FCS) from the start. Not sure what server you are playing on, but if
you happen to be on the Bismarck server then look me up. I would be happy to lend
you a hand with anything that you might need.

Before classing all your sailors, try to save up 150k points and credits so that you can
trade, go into A13, and make a room asking for some spare points and credits, as
high level players are usually willing to lend a hand. Without doing so, you may find
yourself running out of points very quickly (classing gets costly pretty quickly) and
soon you have no way out unless you spend real money on this game just to get
points and credits. However, in NO WAY should you class sailors late. Once your
sailors hit level 12, if you're saving to be able to trade, don't use them anymore until
you've gotten the points/credits.

At level 6, you will be offered to class sailors to a radioman. Unless you plan on
joining a fleet straight off, this isn't necessary. And if you do class one to radioman,
you only need one, and should only have one.

The sailors you get as default should be used just as their named. That's self
explanatory.

The sextuple 7.2" MK11 guns are Hedge Hog weapons and are long range Anti-
Submarine Warfare weapons, I believe the MK11 are the premium version.

A run and gun with a hard hit, I would suggest more along the line of the Imperial
Japanese Navy and/or Marine Nationale. Both nations' tier 5 battleships (BB), when
speedcapped, go at 42 knots overheating (which is the fastest BB5 speed) and pack
a hit. The Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) sports long range and powerful anti-aircraft
guns and hard hitting guns, albeit not as many shells as USN, causing it to be less
likely to destroy enemy ships in one shot. IJN ships are also rather soft, and have
just a bit more range the the Montana I believe.. You can see Marine Nationale (MN)
as similar, except to the extremes. MN has even longer range Anti-Aircraft guns, but
individual anti aircraft shells are rather weak. Having the shortest range for main
guns, MN is at a slight disadvantage in line fights, but with quite deadly firepower, a
well executed rush with the MN BB5 (the Alsace) can be truly devastating. However,
be cautious, as the MN BB5 is by far the softest, as it does not have the durability
points (DP) of other tier 5 battleships.

However, also be warned that armor whoring (AW, I'm sure you knew that already)
United States Navy (USN) battleships typically doesn't work so well, as speed is
preferable over armor, and the armor itself is quite weak. Strangely enough,
however, armor whoring the MN BB5 by sacrificing the rear turret works rather well.

Good luck and have fun. ^^

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to find me in game or pm me on
these forums, I'm either on this account (tea_time) or my alt (crumpets).

Make sure both of your main gunners have like, +12/+11 on base accuracy/reload
growth, and make sure that you always level them together so that they will always be
close in terms of level and ability. If they aren't then your spread will be terrible. Also
don't forget to train one sailor to become a scout, and don't forget your engies (like the
guy in the above post said), 2 antiair gunners (maybe +10/+12 or +11/+12 on the
accuracy/reload base growth, I'm not sure), and it's probably best not to waste time
getting torpedo sailors.

This will for the most part make it so that you don't realize at lvl54 when you get your
first battleship that your gunners are terrible and you have to level a whole new pair
from scratch. That's what happened to me and I was really sad. :(

1) Somewhat. Every nation gets stuck with slow ships at some tiers/on some lines, though.
Remember: You'll need several (say, 4-5) engineers and a scout.

2) I assume you mean the septuple "guns?" Those are a premium hedgehog launcher. You'll
need to spend real money (or get lucky in events) to get hedgehogs for that. Use the 5x
one instead. Or skip on them entirely for the most part, because normal hedgehogs eat
enormous numbers of credits.

3) The good frigates/frigate guns are all above level 12 =/ Anyway, try to make a point
of running some of the training missions. They do help explain things. Also, start using
manual (aka Aiming FCS) right now. This *will* make things easier later on.
