There is no AFT TORP for the IJN SS4

So... the question it to you keep a 2nd Torper on board in case there is ever SS5, or if
you are using your Torps on a Kita or ISE CVE.

I have a pair for Torps for my Kita and ISE CV, and 1 Torp for the IJN SS4.

Also Sonar Maxes out Early, so you can run fewer Recruits to save weight.

ya ild argue that last point of no rear torper...

if you intend to never miss your bow shots and never turn your back on the
enemy ..yes.. the set-up would be fine

you have considerable risk with no aft torps.... someimes even just one could save
your life

subs are fragile at is is no amor or sd is going to protect u against skilled players

ild suggest u keep your bow torp fully experted and you aft torper skeleton
:)

Here is the SS 2-4 quickie

BO with 0 0 0 recruits/experts/vets
Planesman Full Everything
Sonar Full Everything

3 Engines (all 3 will be on the shore support when you get to SS4)
(engines do not work when they are on the ship)
(if not on shore keep them 0 0 0 ) (on shore Full Everything)

2 Torps (only need 1 when you get to SS4)
Get them to 850K True Ability (Read Abelbert)
(or email [email protected] and I will send you an excel spreadsheet)

Level 64 Boosted Full Recruits/ 50 Experts/ 100 Vets will get you to the 850K Cap
After that they cannot reload any faster, and as you Add Experts and Vets you can
Take off Recruits making the Torpedo man Lighter.

Final Secret: You can put your SS BO on a Simakazi DD with the Plane, Sonar, 1 Engine,
and the 2Torps and bring the BO's Level Higher so you bypass SS1 SS2 and even SS3

SS3 is very nice, if you do this for morals sake play 1 level in each SS1, SS2, SS3

Final SS4 Spot can be the unused Torp, or Restore, Repair, or Seaman (everyone argues
about this)

well if theyre good torpers u should keep them but u should grind your BO to at least lvl
50 before classing it cos the SS1 is pretty bad, going 19/20 on the surface and 17/18
under.
Also if u need to reduce weigt then take all the rookies off your BO as the BO ability is
pretty much useless on a sub.
