NO, because you can armour whore it...and it will mount decent AA (3"70's) or
ASW...and w/good armour you'll own blitz...and can stand 1-2 salvo's from a
BB1...unless you let him get too close.

Portland has NO 2ndary armament to speak of. 'nough said.

I haven't played the New Orleans for a year and a half but I only have extremely
fond memories of her. SWed with the 8" N's it was just beastly fun. It also teaches
you how to rush against someone with more range than you, a valuable lesson if
you are running two BO's and will eventually be in an Alaska. Its ironic that they put
this cruiser prior to the Nevada which isn't exactly a speed demon....

I heartily recommend the New Orleans if you like to dash in, slug someone, and then
bolt.

The weather in Portland is better plus it's not in ruins.
