"BTW, I think the EBB3s could have been really easy to handle, if SDE had chosen to
use BB3s for all of them:

BB3 + more DP + additional support slot + more scouts + better FCS

No problems with ridiculous fire power, or being too fast, etc. Just some improved
versions of the originals."

Quote from DJDeath from the main thread.

I honestly think that is the best idea yet. As most of the EBB2's are using BB1 hulls,
wouldn't it have been best to rebalance them as RBB1's (Remodel BB1's). Create
RBB1's for KM and MN. Move the KM and MN EBB2 as RBB2's. Move the Current EBB3's
that are about to be released (apart from KM) as RBB2's. Save the current KMEBB3
for the next set.

It just seems such an easy fix to be able to do this. I assume as these have been
tested by the new test team, with attempts to balance them, and as Mailman said
that future changes are possible, that this is allowed in this section. If it isn't, please
move this to suggestions, however, I would prefer it remain here.

I would also like to thank the test team for not allowing them to be released in the
first state they were on the test server, that would have been horrible! Thanks alot!

Thoughts?

I like it. But at this point, we don't have any SDE support for new sprites and
gunsets, just for stat edits and paintjobs. Your suggestions should be a separate
discussion in case we do get that level of support.

I think this may have been said before (and somewhat off topic), but I'd personally
like new ships to replace the current EBBs (2/3), and turn the current sprites into
rental ships sprites or just released as a DLC, etc

For examples:
Replace the US EBB2 (Mississippi) with the Florida or the Delaware class (10x 12"
guns), and put the old 12" duals (which were taken out years ago, but the sprite
must still be around) back in similar to the Mikasa guns status with some more
damage and slower reload (and maybe more range too?). These 12" guns should be
much better than the dreadnought ones.

Replacing the US EBB3 with the Sodak of the 1920s (montana gun setup, but with
current sodak guns), retaining the current status for the most part.

Replacing the UK EBB2 resolution with either the Orion class, King George V class of
1911, or Iron Duke class which all have 10 13.5" guns.

Replacing the UK EBB3 Warspite with the G3 BC.

A fast nelson with a funny turret layout anyone?

Replacing the IJN EBB2 Haruna with Kawachi Class, which is similar to the nassau in
gun layout, and give it options to use upto the 14" L guns of the Fuso/Ise.

Replacing the IJN EBB3 with the Number 13 class with the old dual 18" guns (BB3
range >.>) or the Tosa/Kii class with 10 16" guns.

See where I'm going?

----
15" MkIIIL with 2 binds
- or -
15" mkIIIN with all the binds you want
----

15" mk III L are pointless. Same range than the Ns, but worse spread. No-Go.
15" mk IV N are pointless. Same/Worse range than the 15" mk III N, but (far) worse spread.

The only possible existing gunset that would be an increase in capability would be the 15"
mk IV L aka. Vanny guns, as those would have more range. But Warspite with Vanny range and
Vanny dmg is not a good idea. It would be a better Vanguard, because of its far smaller
size and closer gun placement.

As long as we can get no unique gunsets, the current balance of the EBB3 is as good as it
can get, maybe with Hyuga and O2 a little bit on the strong side.

Buffing "original bb2/bb3" gun slot was not a great decision, when there is lot of other option
which is thousand time better.
It is said they were meant to be bb3.5
But those EBB do have bb2.5-3 lvl.

Well that's just it. It doesn't really function well as a BB3. While it does have the
support slots of a UK BB3, it doesn't have the displacement. It can choose between the
guns of a QE or the guns of a Nelson with 33% more firepower but much less displacement.
And sure, it could mount 14" quads, but only 2 of them at best, and again without armor,
speed or AA.

I'm okay with the BB2 gunsets, because they're pretty darn good BB2 gunsets, but would
like some displacement to go with them. And use of the Vanuard N guns was presented as a
second and separate option should the community think moar gunz would help.

Really you want to buff an ebb that is on the uk line. Not to mention Uk has best
supports, hits the hardest already. Also everyone can get this ship now, not like its
a prize ship, and you want to buff it to bb4 strength when it was designed for bb3
strength. wow just wow!

Please Stormvanger, please, make those changes happen.

Been using the Warspite exclusively over the past 3 days. Overall I like the ship, but it
really has only one gunset as an option.

15" MkIIIL with 2 binds
- or -
15" mkIIIN with all the binds you want

In this configuration, you can add a modest amount of armor for GB2 duty (0.2 deck, 0.7
belt, 80+ bulge, and 5 bulkhead), carry a level 90's crew, and mount 10 rp10N AA guns.
You manage 39 knots overheat at max displacement. Lighten the armor or take off the AA
and get 40 knots. Strip the ship naked and you still get 40 knots.

16" MkIL with all the binds you want

To mount four nelly guns, you need to strip the ship. No AA, and a bare minimum
belt/bulge setup with a level 90's crew. 39 knots is your only option, and since you have
both front and rear turrets and lower speed than a nelson, surviving to get shots off is
tricky and requires patience or lots of smoke.

In both cases, the ship is using the BB1 fire control, and as noted does not have an extra
support slot. Neither of these is really a liability.

Simple improvements to the ship would be an increase in R slot size to 488 (matching Hood,
so it can use the 15" mk III L's with 4 binds of ammo) and an increase in usable
displacement. More displacement would allow AA or armor or 40 knots with the Nelson 16"
guns, and would allow more speed with the 15" duals. The KM and IJN ships still range it,
but it would otherwise be a more competitive ship.

The more complicated improvement would be, IMO, to combine the displacement buff with an
increase in R slot gunspace to 542, allowing use of the Vanguard N guns. I think the L's
would be too much, but the N's would provide more firepower at a comparable BB3 range.
(Consideration to upgrade fire control to the next BB set would be in order if this gunset
became an option.)

My true feelings of the ebb3s are replacements. With SDE making Ebb3s available
easily to all they are just saying that the originals are already balanced enough that
they don't need anymore balance including the pbbs, where they can introduce
ships similiar to the originals and vastly buff the originals. These new ships are
better than the originals, but the originals if played right against someone who has
an ebb looka-like for that tier and is a noob bb driver can easily be beaten.

Also Ebbs were original a trophy for those who actually achieved something in the
game, where as now SDE gives them away like everyone does with their trash. You
used to only get ebbs by event or by bying from ppl who won it through an event(as
in highest att in a bb room event). Now you can just be an active player during
events and get ebbs, but does that mean you should really deserve one? Should
someone that has little to no skill at all in a bb really deserve an ebb just because
they are active? There seems to be no prestige anymore in NF like there once was...

I was refering to the H39 gun andy.

As for a new gunset, asnwer appeared in the first page, unless, SDE change their mind and
love to put more effort in it.
