What's the difference between the 15" mk1s and the mk2s in general as far as
range, damage, spread, etc...? Also how would the Mk1L compare to the Mk2N in
damage, range, and spread?

"That has already happened. I left my US DD Gearing in blitz and what do I see but a
revenge and renown dropping torps like they were kitakamis! I do not mind torpedoes
if dropped from tbs, kitakamis or those submarines. Torpedoes and their tubes just
don't go well when placed on battleships or heavy cruisers. Was there not an xp drop if
torpedoes and guns are mixed?"

Lol, you probably haven't played the "new" Blitz today. In fact, the "new" GB as well. A year ago, I
never seen a H44 Torping, and using Opro guns. I never seen a Revenge fitted with all HH but no
main gun. I never seen a Renown with rear T-slots torping and front T-slots using 5.25" guns,
whilst
having no main gun at all.

It happened, lol, after one year.

Anyway, back on topic. In Blitz, the 15MkIINs are good enough. They have good damage, good
spread and enough range to own every ship in-game. However, if you entered GB like me, I
switched to the 15MKIILs, whilst only carrying two binds of ammo. This shouldn't be a problem, as
the chances of using your main guns is little as you have to wait most of the time for the right
oppurtunities to strike. Spread is terrible, but at least you can try to hit something.

About the revenge guns, I used to go with the Mk 1 guns and watched the horrific
spread. Well, I did start out with reload gunners so most of the problem lay therein. All I
had to do was add more vets, experts and the occasional boost. By the time I wanted
to use the Mk2's I was already nearing the QE/KGV midline.

MKII does more damage and a slower (by 3 seconds) base reload rate, that's the only
difference really that I've seen.

read the stats on the guns in game, in the shipyard section, or the trainworld website
specs

it'll show everything from any velocity differences, etc, etc. although in game you'll have
to go to the ammo loading section to see what damage they do.

@junkers101

delete your UK crew

fact that you eaven think of using anything but BB guns on Revange is a
disgrace...so go away and stop suggesting fail setups...

whats next? Revange + torps?

-.-

cheers

I am currently in the revenge and i prefer the Mk2Ns as they have more range and hit much
harder. Spread is not a problem for me however as i have 160 vets per gunner, but for
some one with less efficient gunners i would recomend using the MK1Ls or even the trip 8s
as they do have better spread at lower lvls.

PS by the way if you ever see me in a revenge in blitz i would recomend running the other
way and getting reinforcments, however that wont save you either as i am at lvl 57 and
have not lost 1 battle since getting my revenge and only died once. Good luck. I play on
Iowa.

Unless you're in Blitz that is.

To answer OP's question:

mk1:
+reloads faster
+lower level
+light weight
+turns much faster
+relatively good spread right out of the box

mk2:
+longer range compared to mk1
+still better spread than any of the mk3 series

There's more positives for the mk1 but all of that is not worth the range loss, as little
as it is.

the revenge gets the mark 2 Ns, and the renown the mark 2 Ls, while the QE and
repulse both get the mark 3 Ns.

if your wondering which guns to use use the mark 2s
