PART 1

For advanced submarine drivers, if you dont know what to do against advanced ASW drivers,
this post is for you. read carefull, and keep in mind that the first tries might not work,
but if you keep practicing, you will sucess against ASW. Keep in mind, this wont make you
100% invisible all the time, but this will help you to live longer.

Currently, people are using PCA with escorts and PHH or regular HH.

1st, if you see a ASW with an Escort FF or DD, stop! Be cautions. All you need to do is,
let the BB go and focus in KILLING the ASW first! If you are KM SS, you should not have problem
with this at all.

next, here is a sample, how the ASW ships looks like:

Red line= where the HH are
blue line= where its shows the escort.

how to kill ASW with escort?: Simple, when the battle starts, try to see where the PCA asw
is, if the PCA is coming from south, go north, and come from north, his escort is coming
behind, if you are coming from north, he wont be able to see you , because his sonarman is
out of range. also, try to use long range, and let the splash kill the pca. Same with
south, if he is coming from north , just come from south, just make sure, his escort is
behind him.Make sure you have a safe range.

Always, but always kill the FF/DD/CL first if its coming in you way. They can show your
position, and the other ASW ships will spot you and start using their HH on you.If you
want to live longer, do it. You can attack the BB later, if the flag is in front of you go
to the flag, but otherwise, for tactical purposes kill the asw.

Lets talk about depth charges, depth charge are a slow but deadly weapon, when you are
passing over a dd, critical dive, when the DC exploded, normal dive, if he launches it
again, critical dive again be fast, make sure you have a configuration where you can press
it real quick.the ASW is forced to move away because he is also getting damage.

Do not assume, if the player is using HH doesnt mean he is not carrying DC. some
configurations are :

T stots are : for Depth charges.
R slots for : HH

there is 2 way to shot Hedgies : gradual and full.

Look and pay attention when the ASW is shooting at you. at the exact moment he is
shooting, critical dive. the time is about 2-3 seconds. after the explosion, normal dive.
if he do that again, critical dive again. Just look at the ASW closely.

If he shoots gradual, just throw some torpedoes to make him run away. if no BB is around,
surface and get some air, you may also want to zig zag.The more zig zag you do , the
harder will be for the asw.

If you have a PCA asw in front of you but hasnt shoot at you or even spot you, kill it.
throw him at least 4-6 torpedoes, at the same time, CRITICAL DIVE. once he sees the
torpedoes, he will shoot at you with full salv

Angle:

The X is you, the lines are the zone, where you should launch your torpedoes at that angle
will be really hard for the ASW to maneuver it. If you see closely, you will see a red
line, which is the critical zone line, where the torpedo should be launched, any torpedo
below that line, will be missed, if lucky you might hit him,, but the box that i draw is
the safe range where you can hit him.

as i was explaining before, opposite direction of you and escort, reduces the chances of
being detected. All you have to do, is to take a decent range, good enough where your
torpedo will splash.remember ca cant see you unless he has an escort.only escort can
detect the sub, overheating also reduces the chances.

I believe they play like everybody else, to stay alive as much as he can, to kill some
more and get more experience.Sometimes it failed or sometimes he sucess. i remember when i
used them, pretty fun. I think they should be ok. But i find them more usefull on cv's.

you just reminded of this player, when he always mentioned where i was coming, but he
never got out of the way and ate all my torps. always saying SS 25/20, ss 20 19, ss this
or that. and the end he died.

Yes, my guide still imcompleted, even like that, the first part will help pretty much
other non advanced sub drivers.I m still getting new materials to complete the 2nd part.

This is pretty helpful, and as much as I hate seeing players drive a skill-less ship... I
don't mind them learning some tricks.

This guide is pretty much missing another section, how to fight the an advanced
ASW who isn't dumb.

While it might seem like a victory to sub drivers who sink a BB while under ASW fire,
it's not a victory; but rather a loss for the BB driver who saw the SS, thought he was
safe just because HE COULD SEE, and continued to eat all torpedoes till death.

Also what are your thoughts on sub players who always pop smoke when they
surface?

Anyway, I got like 1000 PHH from this event, so you'll have to run extra fast away
from me.
