Sevas can only mount 4 scouts, so better use them wise. I don't usually send scouts early in the combat since most of the ships along me will send their scouts in the same hemisphere. Not totally recommended but when the situation is there, i refrain from sending.
If you do send a scout, keep your scout below the default height and stay away from AAW range. Just enough distance where you can see the ship or it's silhouette.
Now that you have scouted the enemy keep close to the big boys but not too close to invite crossing and team killing situations when evasive maneuvers are done in the battle line. Remember to keep your speed in the cruising speed to preserve overheat.
When the battle line is in the heat of the battle. Choose a target depending on the situation. Mostly another PBB, BB1, BB3 or BB3 will be close to you since they need to get closer to your battle line to get some hits too. Pick one, rush and use your overheat to get close, drop a few shots then pull back when your overheat is nearing exhaustion or you are running out of SD. Be aware of the blue arrow on your health bar. If it's way near the starting line, pull out. Don't wait for the moment that your green line turns to orange. Get back behind your battle line to regain health and overheat so you can perform the same tactics again.
If the enemy battle line is blind, you can easily rush in and shoot them to hell. Just keep on weaving and dodging so that they cannot predict your destination and get a blind shot at you. Remember to fall back if you are about to run out of overheat and SD.
Sevas is not really a viable ship to use AA unlike Guam and it will just slow you down. So personally I don't recommend it.
Some may say that Sevas can't play like an Alaska, Guam or SoDak. If you have good engineers you can play it likely that way. Don't let the look of Sevas deceive you, it looks like a decent line of battle ship because of broadside power and structural strength. It is rated BB3.5 but still outranged by SoDak and other BB3s. It is not as fast as Sodak. So anything below SoDak's level must be played like a ninja.
Don't be so craving for BB4s and BB5s because at early levels, you are their food. Pick on ships in your range. If you are behind or along the battle line, some enemy BB12s, CA or CLs will try to rush in, don't hesitate to cripple them.
