  • US BB Crew need help from experienced players

What I will lvl:
Bo, scout, 2 gunners, 4 repair, 6 engine
Problem: what should my gunners stat be? +11/+11? and the big question, how
should I class them? I'm thinking of ACC/RLD/RLD, but I've read lots of posts with
different opionins. Please fell free to comment. Also, just list all the possiblities even
its really hard to lvl cause I have UK BB crew so griding them will be easier.

Thanks.

"acc/acc/acc
US hits reload cap pretty easy."

DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT.

Rld cap is the 2nd hardest one to reach other than UK acc gunner.

acc/acc/acc unless massively BVEd wont reach it till the high 90s. And if massively BVEd,
then why didnt you class reload at 65 since you HAD the acc cap already?

seriously, if you dont understand where the acc cap values and rld values are and how they
work, just dont answer those threads.

EDIT : @okubo

The whole point isnt rld gives faster reload and less spread. Its simply at a certain
point acc/acc gunners have the acc cap and reload do not, then rld has acc cap and better
reload, then rld gunners have both cap, and acc catch back only at iowa level.

at 120 acc/acc/acc and rld/rld/rld are the same.

But you'll have better gunners at bb3 level by classing rld/rld/rld at the price of
slightly crapiest BB1 spread. Thus the compromise of acc/rld/rld.

acc/acc/acc
US hits reload cap pretty easy. Also get a second pair of gunners and class them rld/rld/rld. AA will be
invaluable.

I used the yellow named gunners 11/11 and went acc/acc/acc, since I boosted my gunners at
about 60+ (thats when I learned I can boost sailors stat, nooby I know just started early
may 2010.) I could say with the acc/acc/acc 11/11 gunners does help with your spread, only
problem is you just hit rld a bit longer then going to acc/rld/rld. other then that man
its really your choice since its like this:

*tight spread = accurate shooting = less shots needed to sink a ship (if your that good at
shooting ships already.)
*not so tight spread = fast reload guns = more shots needed in order for you to land
shells on the enemy.

thats just my 2 cents in

The real question is : Do you plan to BVE or not.

If yes, then acc acc acc is stupid. Basically, at level 65 with acc/acc you have crossed
the acc true ability cap. so classing acc a 3rd time is dumb.

So acc/acc/rld would be the "acc heavy" route, with better CA/BB1 performance for lesser
BB234 reload

the most used way is probably acc/rld/acc and acc/rld/rld.

You get a good accuracy base till the 40s, then climb the reload a bit too. You'll get
slightly lesser spread on your at level BB1, but much better reload at BB23 and can hope
to cap the reload before BB4. Classing rld at the 3rd will probably help slightly, but it
doesnt matter that much.

Rld heavy go rld/rld/rld or rld/acc/rld or rld/rld/acc

Basically, you go right in the reload, and acc gets some boost only near CA stage. Be
ready to be in pain for BB1 stage, your spread will probably sux. However, your BB2-3 will
be rld capped AND you still reach the acc cap in the mid 70s, about the same time you
reach the rld one.

Thats considered the smartest way due to the fact both cap are reached at an early point
compared to other classing that tends to cap acc in the mid 60s to low 70s and rld only at
the high 80s or low 90s.

However I never used it myself as I like grinding the lower level in blitz with a decent
spread. My choice would be acc/rld/rld for a compromise between low level spread and reload.

Now however, remember I said before if you plan to BVE. if you do NOT plan to BVE however,
then go acc/acc/acc. Otherwise your spread will be all over the place till bb4 and you
won't like it much. You wont hit the rld cap till monty prolly, but eventually you should
hit it.

As long as there is a cap, there is nothing to regret in the end.

Oh btw, I went all ACC, BVE'd. No regrets from Fletcher to Montana.

Personaly I classed my main gunners ACC/ACC/RLD, I found that going ACC for the first 2
helped in the lower lvls and now that im well into my Iowa I dont regret it one bit my
reload time is plenty fast. Now I BVEd my gunners pretty early on, somewhere in the high
40s- low/mid 50s (was a long time ago so kinda hard to remeber.)

I managed okay with Acc/Rel/Rel.

If you're hardcore, go with Rel/Rel/Rel. More realistically, classing Acc for the first
one helps a lot at low-mid levels. But you'll hit the Acc cap soon enough with BVE and a
good base. It's the reload cap that's difficult.

11/11 acc/rld/rld you got it.

If you want to hit the accuracy cap 3 levels later (average is mid 60s) and reload cap
3 levels earlier (average is late 80s) then go rld/rld/rld
