I will be making range comparisons for every tier of BB we have. That makes for easier
discussion about it.

I will post them in the 2nd post in this thread.
It is some work, so it will take a bit of time.

** Edit: I got a suggestion from Lukas to place the results in a different order and
include the highest ranged ship from 1 tier below and the lowest ranged ship from 1 tier
above. That has been done for the BB5 image now. I also left out teh red line...

Keep in mind that this is why the test server exists, so we can test things before
they get tossed into the main servers. So calm down, take a deep breath, find the
appropriate thread, and state your case.

Statements like that invalidate the argument you never really even made.

Pick a topic and explain what you like and/or don't like; suggest whatever ideas you
may have. We need the input! Blanket complaints about "OH CRAP MY KM IS
USELESS NOW" do not help.

There are enough threads; I think you want some of the specific BB tier debates.

I have been on the test server and tried out an H44 with the new SN BB5. It honestly
feels like yet another thing has been taken away from the Germans. Me, and a lot of
others with EBVE crews have put a lot of time and money to have best range for each BB
level. We've dealt with the horrible armor and a new line is coming out with more power,
better armor and the same range as our great H44? Now it feels like we're being raped
again for something like a car at a salvage yard. SN should not equal any of the lower KM
BB's in range. First it was the fighters and now we lose our only real incentive for
going KM??? Really. What else are we going to give up when the Italian Navy (that never
existed) comes out? There are things that just shouldn't be done. It's like taking the
5th turrent off the Amagi or de-armoring the Queen Victoria.

Lowering the level of BB2 for SN isnt a great option, if you compare the current SN
levels to the other levels of BB2s, it fits. If you lower them, they'll need either nerfing,
which will make them just another lyon, or they'll be overpowered for their level.

Better idea would be to make the level 64 triples the guns for the Gangut, and let the
izmail use the level 66 triples. Range wise they are similar. This would also include
lowering the Gangut level to 64 or so... If we leave those 2 ships as they are, they are
basically copies of each other..

This would mean decreasing the Andrei P. gunspace. That should not be a problem, since it
already has more than it needs for the 12" duals...

Just an idea..

The level 64 trips have too much range at it's level. I'd nerf it down to where the lv 62
12" guns landed.

Getting rid of the lv 62 set will be fine, as there isnt much point to have the 58s and 62s
have so similar range.

Nerf the lv 58 12" guns into lv 61, so it cant be used in blitz.

And I think that'll be good. It would be nice if we can get the damage per salvo also.

i would agree mailman they do need to go for now, having that much range for a bb1 would
be a bit overkill. Although it being close to scharnhorst range is a good thing with it's
dual.

There's a few extra values that come into effect.

What you described would be the physical values that would relate to range in real life.
In NF there are a few more: the range value itself, bonus velocity value and probably one
or two more we dont know about.

Having said that, it is tricky to mess with range, but certainly not impossible. If needed
we will do range changes. In fact, the first one was already done on the SN BB6.

I updated the second post with BB1 ranges. I took down the BB5/BB6 since i will be
reworking them anyways.

For BB1 I only added the lowest (Revenge) and highest (scharnhorst) from the other nations.

You can see that the trips probably need to go from the Andrei P. .. They are like BB2
range...
