You know the Dland serves another major purpose in this game that I don't believe many
understand. It is one of the few (if only ships) that has gotten such a reputation for
needing higher level gunners that the average player going the dland line reaches h39 and
doesn't run into the problem of my gunners are not high enough must use the trips.

It actually promotes proper leveling. While 10-15 levels above at dland level I'm
guessing is not equivalent to the later 2 levels above needed, it is a start.

I see Dland as mostly a funship but to make real good use of it, you have to play a
blitz game that's a map outside hobbit war, which is the typical (retarded) gameplay
map of blitz. Apart from Z99, many KM ships suffer in this map because of the lack of
range and leverage room. If not the ship itself (likely because of equipping 5.9
triples), the player's skills will be affected and thus will become unprepared at the
arrival of BB1 gameplay. Even CVs don't like this map either.

Another thing is Dland demands classy gunners and I do mean the like of 100 vets
BVE to gain so much as a decent tight spread, otherwise the trips will throw
carpshoot. This can either mean late level gunners (of which you can no longer play
blitz anyways) or actually spending real money on NF.

The Dland's AA set up however, is good unlike the Hipper's or PE. It's almost like
Moltke's only the ship is slower and smaller. If you don't have access to moltke but
are overweight with emden, this is the next best ship to go.

P.S. recommend to remove the R slot guns if you want this ship to be AA-dedicated.

no reason to be a *censored* about it.

My KM BO's were leveled doing AA on an Emden, then Moltke till around level 70 (with
occasional forays into the low-level BB's/BC's), so that the rest of my crew was above the
level of the BO's. Similar situation.

If you plan on doing blitz, then I don't think it's a horrible idea. You can even hop into
some GB's and be effective there (with far more planes as food) and put you gunners on
board when they break the blitz-level barrier; the number of experts you gain doing AA is
amazing for making a high-quality crew.

I'd suggest avoiding blitz; your D-land will be fun there, but KM lines can be leveled
very easily in the support ship roles thanks to their AA. All of the BB's are good,
regardless of which line, and you can really start contributing to your team at any level.


PS- yes, this is a suggestion regarding teamwork and teamplay... not exactly this game's
cup of tea as of late.

One reason I'm asking is because I don't want my spread to suffer so I'm just asking if
it would be a good idea. I don't know exactly when spread is good for the guns so I
want to know if I would just die trying.

Do you want to play blitz? If so its a good idea, common sense is common sense and spam is
spam...
