Here's a happy wall of text. Jk, read the first 3 paragraphs before continuing.
For mods: No, do not move this to the test server discussion. I know what I'm doing
here >.> I already sent mailman his wall of text PM.

After over 10 hours of testing and typing, and more hours of talking and discussion, I
have come up with this list of SN changes.

From DD to BB6, I have taken note of EVERY single ship, and gun (except for 2-4
single guns at very low levels, eg 12-25).

Now, rejoice, for SN is one step closer to being balanced. Forget about the HS issues
(for now), and be happy with me.

Here's the SN ship tree for reference:

list of changes needed to be done:

DD1 Storozevoj level 12
Decrease cost by 3-5k
Increase gunspace to be able to use level 14 dual 3" with decent ammo (5 binds
mininium)

Gnevnyj level 18
Increase gun space to use level 20 and 22 dual 3.9" guns. Levels can be lowered by
2 each, range may need to be readjusted.

Leningrad lv 24
500 DP buff could be used. Increase cost to 60k.
Gun space buff to be able to use level 26 and 28 dual 5" guns with decent ammo.
Levels for the duals need to be both decreased by 2 levels. Range may need to be
readjusted.

DD4 Tashkent lv 26
Dual 6" first set level needs to be reduced to 26. I have not tested the range, so I'm
not 100% sure how that needs to be changed, my personal reccomendation is IJN
5.5" dual range.
Single 8" first set needs to be lowered to level 26-29, range lowered, reload
reduced, gun space reduced so Tashkent can use them. Similar to the USN single 7"s
would be nice.
Gun space may need to be increased so it can also use the Dual 5" (high angle AA
capable set, currently level 30) with better ammo.
Minizini's level can be lowered to the same as the dual 5"s. (gun space increase also
needed)


4 choices of guns would be 6" with damage+range, dual 5" with long range AA,
Minizinis with spam AA, single 8" with very good damage and range.


Bogatyr, level 32
Trip 6 needs to be lowered to level 32 (currently 34).
R slot needs a very slight buff to 119, so you can have 5 binds of ammo.

Pallada lv 38
Increase in cost to 300k is possible to balance out level 38 CL costs.
Dual 8" guns level needs to be reduced to lv 38, range and reload needs to be fixed
to match with the 10" first set guns.


Svetlana lv 34
Give the sevetlana the second set of dual 6" guns (reduce level of guns to 36,
increase gunspace of svetlana so Tashkent doesnt use these guns, AA shells need to
be removed.)
Second set of single 8" increased to level 38 to balance with the dual 6".

6! sets of guns for the svetlana this time:
Dual 6" first set: the first set of guns you'll probably use when you get it due to
highest DPS.
Single 8" first set: more range than dual 6" first set, but less DPS due to slower
reload.
Dual 6" second set: similar to first set dual 6", more range and/or DPS.
Single 8" second set: similar to first set single 8", more range and/or DPS.
Minizinis: spam AA
5.1" dual high angle AA: long range AA (similar to brooklyn+ last set of dual 6" AA or
emerald with 5.25")

ECL Chapayev lv 35
Level needs to be changed to 35, as the level of the trip 6 would be reduced to 32
for the bogatyr.

CA KK lv 42
7.1" single can still use a reload buff of ~1 second to 4.20-4.00. Displacement needs
a very slight buff for dual 8"s or the weight reduced.
Increasing cost to 500k is possible to balance out CA costs at level 42. T slot buff can
be used so minizini's can be used with decent ammo (and equaled out). (it only holds
4 binds right now)

CA Rurik lv 44
Dual 8" + first set Dual 10" range and angle needs to be adjeusted to:
The maximum angle of the 10" guns are 40, the 8" guns will be 30. At 30 degrees,
both gunsets will have the same range including every angle below that, but at 40
degree, the 10" will have more range than the dual 8" guns. Needs to have less
range than the single 7.1"s. A slow reload will make the DPS similar to the KK with
7.1". The 8" guns will have York 8" damage, and reload the same as the 10".
Increasing cost to 600k is possible to balance out level 44 CA costs. Displacement
increase also needed (CAs should be able to use level 100+ crew), or weight of the
8" and/or 10" guns reduced.
First set dual 10" guns need to be reduced in level to 44.
Second set of dual 10"s are fine at level 52, but range needs to be buffed so it is
between Dland and PE's 8" L guns, damage should be similar.


CA Kirov lv 49
Increasing cost to 650k-700k is possible to balance out level 47 CA costs.
Trip 7.1"s needs another accuracy buff so it can blockshot with level 55 or so
accuracy capped gunners. Remember, this is a post-war CA with 7.1" guns instead of
8". It is also a very high leveled CA. The trip 7.1"s need to have more range than all
other guns before including the first set of dual 10"s.
R space increase so they can use the minizini's with good ammo.

CA Maxim Gorky lv 54
Uses a lv 52 2nd set of dual 10" guns, range and damage could be slightly buffed
(refer to the rurik's section). T space increase needed the same way, unless you
want to fit the 5.1"s on here also. Remodel cost can be increased to 200k-250k to
balance out one of the highest leveled CAs.
A very slight displacement buff can be used so it can use the dual 10"s with AA.
Something a MG that happens to end up in GB would love.

DD-CA gun space list:

2nd set 10"s>trip 7.1">first set 10"s>dual 8"s>single 7.1>trip 6">dual 6" second
set>dual 6" first set>dual 5.1" AA>minizini>other lower level guns (eg, 3.9" and
other 5.1" duals)



BC1 Andrel Pervozvanny lv 58

Durability needs to be nerfed still as right now it is one of the most durable of the
BB1s still, consult richardphat.
Make sure the AA slots cannot use the 5.1"s with good ammo, but will work with the
minizini/trip 6" AA combo. We do not want a SY's AA in a BB1.
Reload of all sets of the dual 12"s could be reduced by 1 second, to make up for so
few guns. This is just an idea for now, no solid testing done for DPS of the BB1.


Introduction to the 2 lines:
Izmail line focuses on long range, while Gangut line focuses on high damage. The
weakness of the gangut line is slow, the weakness of the izmail line is durability.
These 2 lines converge on the stalingrad, but will stay "different" lines with the 2
different gunsets. The two playstles further converges at BB5, but the choice still
remains with the introduction of 110 guns, but the difference is smaller than the
stalingrad. The BB6 finally completes this transition, having the best of both line's
guns, but having the worst of both's ships. Superficially, the BC line has a worse BB3
for GB but a better BB2, while the IM line has a better BB3 with a worse BB2.


BC2 Izmail lv 68


40 OH with 14".DP can be changed to as low as 16,500 (lowest BB2 I think) to make
up for range+damage+speed.
Being easier to speed cap than Gangut could also be an advantage of the "weaker"
BC line. Range should be similar to the Repulse.
For lesser skilled players, this ship would actually be better than the Kronstadt
(similar to how many players prefer Fuso/Ise over Nagato.



BB2 Gangut lv 67
12" guns need a weight increase, as if used on the Izmail, it can go 44kn, far too
fast. The izmail should go 42kn with Gangut guns. Once this is done, the standard
displacement of the gangut needs to be lowered a tiny bit so with 120 crew so it still
goes 37kn OH with normal Gangut guns.
Either the space required by the 12" guns can be decreased by a little, or the
gunspace for the gangut increase a little so it can hold 5 binds of ammo.
DP buff to 20,000-21,000 is possible due slow speed and lower firepower. (firepower
needs testing and adjusting)
Overall, slower, more durable, slightly lower firepower, smaller than Izmail.
A difference of over 3k DP will be noticeable once the 2 BB2s have the same
submergence value, as with SD, the difference with be close to 6k+.



BB3 Imperatritsa Mariya (IM) level 78
12" level 78 Guns need a gunspace icrease, as it can fit on the Izmail right now with
2 binds of ammo. The Izmail cannot use these guns with even a single bind of ammo.
Weight of these guns needs a large increase so the IM goes 37kn OH with 120 crew.
Standard weight needs to be decreased so it goes 42kn with gangut guns and 40
with Izmail guns.
Damage has not been tested, but should be better than Izmail's 14" guns (overall
salvo damage similar or slightly lower than to Vanguard/Fuso with 16"s).
Range also has not been tested, we need to make sure with so low speed and
range, it is still competitive.
Decent/average spread (untested). , 42Kn OH with Gangut guns. Similar durability to
Nelson/PoW should be enough.



BC3 Kronshtadt level 79
T slot space needs to be reduced to similar to the stalingrad.
Speed needs another increased by 2kn to 44 OH with level 79 guns. With the IM
guns weighing more, it should go 42kn OH with those guns.
Level 79 guns' max angle needs to be changed to 45. (my question is, if it has Pow
style block shot, it then needs just over alaska 12" gun damage. If it has the same
accuracy revision as the guam's 12" L guns (note the kronstadt has BB2 FCS), then it
can have slightly under PoW damage per shell)
Both ways, this ship's durability needs a nerf, speed needs that buff I discribed
above.

Between Nagato and O pro II range (I have not tested this, I will need to do so.)
Less firepower than IM, much faster, much better spread. DP should be very low for
BB3, combined with a new and lower submergence value, it should be slightly lower
than the Hood's ability to take damage.
Overall somewhat similar to a cross between a B65, Hood and a O Pro II. Taken to
the extreme, it goes 47kn with 2x level 78 or level 77 trip 12".



BC4 Stalingrad lv 89
12" guns needs to be increased to level 89. Gun weight needs to be lowered, read
line 4, details there.
16" guns needs the max angle adjusted to 40.
Gun space needs a slight decrease, so 12" guns have 5 binds of ammo, 16" guns has
4 binds of ammo. Note that 12" guns reload faster with less damage.
Speed needs increasing. With 12" guns, it needs to go 44kn OH. With 16"s, it needs
to go 39kn OH. The way to do that, is to increase base speed from (16" guns right
now), 22 to 25 (so with 12" guns you OH at 44 instead of 39), increase the maxinium
displacement of the Stalingrad (increase weight of armor also to make sure you cant
AW), then increase the weight of the 16" guns so you go 39kn OH with 120 crew.
Durability needs to be decreased to H39 OR Yamato, I have not decided yet, but I'm
leaning towards yamato durability.


The 12" guns have between H39 and yamato range (so it can be pushed by 39, but
outranges the other nations), almost block shot at level (slightly worse than
Kronstadt spread but still very good), lower damage than the current H39's full salvo
and more than Kronshtadt with 12" gun's full salvo.
16" guns needs Yamato range (not tested) and have inbetween to Iowa and yamato
damage (needs testing),
The ship would be the crossover between the Kronshtadt (with 12") and the IM (with
16"). Moderately fragile for a BB4 with more speed. The Hood of the BB4s with 12",
cross between Yamato and L1 with 16". Note that with 8 BB4s, it is IMPOSSIBlE not
to have almsot identical ships between nations.



BB5 Sovietsky Soyuz, level 103
Level 100 guns' gun space need to be increased so it only holds 5 binds of ammo
instead of 6.
Level 110 guns' gun space need to be decreased so it holds 6 binds of ammo instead
of 5. Gun weight needs to be increased so it goes 37kn OH.


With level 100 guns: this ship should be still part of the Izmail with parts of the
gangut line. L2 range, SY damage, L2 spread, 39kn OH, BAD turning force, SY
durability, 45 degree high angle. Need testing before I can suggest changes here.
With level 110 guns: Alsace damage, 37kn OH, SY spread SY range. Everything else
is the same as the 100 guns. (testing also needed)



BB6 Project 24 level 120
Basespeed need another nerf by 2knso it OH at 37.
Have not done enough testing with it to determine how to "fix the guns". My
proposal is below:

Guns will be between Nebby and Kaiser range, current Amagi damage per
shell(taking that Amagi spread will be eventually buffed), 45 degree max angle, 37kn
OH, Kaiser turning force.
Same DP/Submergence as Amagi. Nebby spread. The absolute definition of The SN
advantages and disadvantages. In HA and BB6 rooms, this ship will be ranged by the
kaiser as the kaiser has a lower max angle;
be balanced and line-battled against the Amagi and Nebby, as the Amagi and Nebby
is both faster and has a better turning force;
and completely dominate rushing charlemagnes (once it's properly balanced) and
QVs...If it can see them coming.

I'll be waking late tomorrow as I'm sleeping at...4am here.

Take a look at this list for now, and try and figure out the things that I put here. We'll
need to talk about these changes tomorrow. (err, this afternoon?)

Sorry angus, but this really belongs here....

Some other thing cheerful, the BB6 are now available for testing ... we need to move on
witht ehm since the time we have for SN is slowly running out... :S
