Has anyone compared the hangtime to the Amagi?

It doesnt seem as long, but since it has longer range, and 45 degree guns, shouldnt
it theoretically be a longer hangtime?

from what ive seen amagis hang time is alittle less than P24 but i will check again
tomorrow

and what about making both Amagi's and P24's hang time shorter? 0=)

I did played quite a lot of HAs and BB games with Amagi and It's already quite bad with
Amagi having the range and speed at the average level of BB6s. With the adding of bad
manoeuvrability, really long reload time for Amagi's 20" guns and the long hang time this
ship is usable only with the defending style of play which is boring and good in like 25%
of battle situations in NF...
The already not so long range IJN AAs can't be really considered as plus point since the
120lvl scouts were added and the spread and dmg isn't so drastically better than other
BB6's. AW QVs and L1s can bounce you with "0" for fullhit even at max angle and QV can
kill you simply with two good shots - which with QVs spread and easy-aming 30 degree
guns isn't really so hard to achieve - before you even reload from HE to AP. You can just
rush him too and hope he have far worse aming than you and he will miss you until you
beat him down with like 4-5 hits. Fighting the defending line of Nebbys and Kaisers in HA
is even more pathetic...

It seems like P24 will have at least the range and better spread so there will be chance to
fight more offensively I hope (havent tested It yet so don't know for sure how It moves in
battle) but still...

...is so long hang time and so longer reload time so important for the already slower
45 degree guns?

ps: sorry I got maybe carried away a little since I really love IJN and It hurts to have
such single-purpose ship as the capital BB6. I know we are only balancing the SN now
so I will not delete It but you can ignore the Amagi topic If you want. 0=)

Hang time can be a bit different due to different 'velocity bonus' values.

Basically that value affects at what speed the shells travel without the extra effects that a muzzle velocity change
would cause (range, damage)

I must admit I have no idea what the value for both guns is though...

But in short, like rehor said, we will need to reduce the range a bit, so the hang time should go down a tiny bit still...

The range is not correct right now, but I'll hop over to the test server to get the
