Using a seaman is not a magic potion. You do not go into battle thinking that you have now
a better chance to defeat a veteran player.

V2c is a veteran cv player, he can do without a seaman and sitll win. He has developed his
skills.

If you put 2 players with the same skills, the one with a seaman will win.

Do your own test and satisfy yourself once and for all.

as to use of gunners:
The main weapon of a cv player are his pilots/planes. If you develop your skills in
managing/sequential launching of your fighters, no bombers can reach your cv.
No small ships can hump you either, if you have perfected the art of sinking small ships
with your bombers (db or tb).

Didnt they nerf some of the crew death for CVs? I thought I saw something about
that. I might have misread though...

Never tried a Seaman on a CV, though I might now. Only problem is my Seaman is
only lvl 45 b/v/e atm... he is one of the old school sailors though (the one that starts
with 14 pot and all other stats +10... Have a few of these actually now that I think
about it (KM, IJN, and UK - but the UK is lvl 80 or so).

i thought sea man only helps not gett crew killed . . I can see
the difference between having one and not having one . .i use
to not to have sea man on board but after getting one i never
regretted . .

I ran 1 US Seaman at level 75 and yes I saw a big differnce in fighters.
After level 100 i didnt see a difference.I run 4 fps 4 dbs 1
seaman and 2 120 gunners on my midway. I prefer AA over SD. If you want 1
restore 1 rep instead of 2 gunners go ahead. Also i belive once fighter reach there
ability cap sooner with a seaman. After 100 they become useless so i've heard. A
seaman on the other hand did help my gunners fire faster and give good SD and
help my t3 fighters at 75 but now i feel its useless.
