ijn subs are amongst hardest hitting subs and most prolific anti bb sub.they may be
slow as an elephant but are also as powerful as elephant.km ss are good for ASW but
not goof against bbs.but a decent engies is required for ss. but if i were u i would go for
bb.(btw u need sonar and airman for ss).

Not something I expected to see on the IJN forums. IJN sub by far has the hardest hitting
front salvo. KM is better for SS vs SS or against smaller ships. That said, BB is going
to be best way to start as for a sub your going to want higher level supports even at SS1
level.

Got them, I also have 5 armament sailors, repairer, and restorer, plus radioman, and BO

5 armament sailors is too much, restore and radiomen are useless.

See if you can get 4 engineers, 4 repairs, 4 armament sailors. For the armament sailors, one
pair is to be classed on time for main guns, while the other pair should stay at armament
sailor until at least B65 or yamato level for AA.

Depends, do you have any other shiplines?BB is always a better line for your first crew.

If you wanted to go SS you should have a sonarman and a planesman at this point
already.
