Since there is a number of ships in this category, let's discuss them together

suggestions (from various sources):

+1 support on Dunkerque (7->8)

BB normandie: Normal displacement: 9184 -> 11984
BB nomandie: FCS space: 85 -> 90 (BB FCS, currently BC FCS)

BB Lyon: Normal displacement: 8472 -> 11272
BB Lyon: FCS space: 85 -> 90 (BB FCS, currently BC FCS)

BB Paris: Support slots: 7 -> 6
BB Paris: Level: 69 -> 70
BB Paris: Normal Displacement: 8524 -> 12724
BB Paris: R-space 178 -> 239 (combined with gun changes below)

BB Lorraine: Support slots: 7 -> 6
BB Lorraine: Normal Displacement: 7739 -> 10939
BB Lorraine: Level: 71 -> 72
BB Lorraine: R-space: 186 -> 268 (combined with gun changes below)

BB Bretagne: Normal Displacement: 3320 -> 8420
BB Bretagne: R-space: 175 -> 206 (combined with gun changes below)

BB Courbet: Normal Displacement: 5973 -> 10077
BB Courbet: R-space: 156 -> 176

Guns:
2x 12?45 cal Model 1906
1. Space: 130 -> 150
2. Weight: 1437 t -> 753 t

2x 12?45 cal Model 1922
1. Space: 152 -> 214
2. Weight: 1723 t -> 1023 t

2x 13.4?45 cal Model 1912
1. Space: 145 -> 176
2. Weight: 2100 t -> 1080 t

2x 13.4?45 cal Model 1922
1. Space: 157 -> 238
2. Weight: 2373 t -> 1573 t

4x 13,4?45 cal Model 1912
1. Weight: 3798 t -> 3098 t

--------------

Displacement changes and gunweight changes are related here... guns are made lighter...
which means there's less space for armor if you leave a gun out... (had it wrong the first
time around)

Simple as usual Nerf, their AP hull cap.

Have the developpers figured out how their values work yet?

The only thing that I have to say is that the Paris needs to be able to hold the Huge
versions of the 2x13.4s. You cant put those guns on. Why even make them?

When I try to think of what ship that is closest to the Lyon/Normandie, the Fuso comes to mind. I say we
compare these three ships directly to get an idea of just how good/bad the MN BBs are.

How does the Lyon and Normandie stack to the Fuso? Range? Speed?
---

Cannot comment on the Fuso however the Lyon goes at a maximum of 35kts and the
Normandie also goes at a maximum of 39kts. However both have displacement issues
that can be considered severe.

IIRC Lyon/Norm are both (a lot) slower, certainly at level.
Fuso/Ise should be doing 42 at level with 14"L, 39 if you use the 16"D.

The Le Havre, I'd like it to still have the option to mount strassburg guns, but with some
displacement difficulty, like it currently is now.

Edit: Mmm the first post has been edited since I last saw and posted this without checking
it. Is the Le Havre gonna be affected by the gun changes from this bb1-2.5 balance?

They don't need a spread buff. Planz you need to stop trying to overpower the
french
nation, every single discussion you're in favor of doing radical crap that is not
needed.

The fact of the matter is, the 13.4" Guns do a GREAT amount of damage, they do not
need to
also have a spread buff. The guns are extremely usable, and we do not need to
touch these
ships other than an increase in their ammo amount, and possibly the T slot angles
that
richard suggested.

Stop trying to overpower every single french ship, it's not going to happen.
---

The spread as I mentioned previously before in this topic is that even with Level 120
BVE Chief Gunners is erratic and unpredictable. I understand that the 13.4" Model
1912 weaponry does produce usable penetration however that is overshadowed by
the lack of accurate hit's produced with this weaponry. I am not in any way trying to
"Overpower" as you have claimed. If others are in accordance with the +1 Accuracy
revision addition then would they also be considered trying to "Overpower" the
Marine Nationale ?. It should be brought into consideration that the "spread" for the
Normandie/Lyon is not a viable balancing factor with the way that it exists currently.
That is offsetted by their slow speed (exception is Normandie) which some would
argue is compensated by their small size and miniscule hitbox. There is nothing
wrong with reviewing the current spread issues and the FCS implemented on the
Normandie and Lyon and revising it accurately to reflect a more balanced BB2 in my
opinion.

i think high number of guns should be balanced by a slow ship speed not by a bad
spread.
