Indeed it must be. I have my gunners quite a few levels above the BOs (I always level in
parallel; two or three BOs simultaneously to get gunners and supports leveled up ahead of
the BOs).

In blitz with the 254mm... and high level gunners, it becomes a "stand-back-and-shoot"
ship. If your team provides support against rushers, you're ok.

Rurik with 10" doubles is a pain at level, but I guess when you use it with good gunners
and spread is better it might get really annoying in GBs... what about the 2nd set of
10"... how is their range compared to the 1st set?

I didn't find the SN CL grind particularly annoying. It is true that the Boga and Palla
can throw you off a bit with those 2xR, but the 8xT make up for that. The Svet is a
fantastic ship and the Chapa is gorgeous.

@Cobra. At first I set up my Rurik with the 180mm triples, but ended up with the 254mm
doubles. The ship I enjoyed most with the 180mm triples was the Kirov. It was a monster in
blitz.

trip 7.1's on the rurik maybe? how does that turn out?

for 2 weeks now i have been trying to get to level 55 for the 1st CV and it blows , right
now my bo is level 49 and the Runik Blows ARS, so i have decided to go back to Pallada :D

I don't know what you have against SN AA... I find it very usable... reload is not that
good, but range is good with GA of 30?.. much better than US AA for example... and damage
is good.
And not to forget that most SN ships have usable T-slots for the SD-2 or Minizini.

As I approach CA and BB level I will start to level a set of AA gunners...

not much worse than uk..

minizini is being buffed.. it will be an excellent aa

and there is no aa in uk with sd-2 s range (try using gradual mode and sniping with
these, you will like it)

Usually AA is the way to grind if you' re sick of gunning with low level useless ships
on every nation.

But for SN -since AA is way worse then other nations- it's also not that fun to play.

But again it' s still a great alternative to level and you gain lots of credits and
experts on the way if you can endure the worse AA in game right now.

It' s still managable if you can boost your reloaders a bit and pick your shots wisely.
Tho i still sometimes go back to my Mogami AA for some serious AA ing : )

Well I wanted to use the Chapa up to Rurik, but I got bored and finally decided to use the
Pallada with AA in T-slots... and woah that rocked... at least when trying to level... the
Chapa has a much higher combat value (better AA broadside and Scout) but the Pallada gives
much more XP... and T slots are easier to use for AA though I miss my Scout and sacrificed
some hitting power... the better spread of the SD-2 make up for that.
