Clarification as to why there's so much issues with this":

OK, we have a long time been struggling with this.

I have been talking with SDE about this issue, as it seems whenever we request a change in
submergence, it doesn't really do anything.

After some comparisons of numbers, it seems the values we call submergence is not the
value that SDE calls submergence.

Let me give an example.

We have been discussing changing the submergence of the Soviet BB3 Imperatritsa Mariya
(IM). According to Richard it should be around 1547 now. When I asked SDE for the current
submergence value, they gave me a number below 100...

Well, you can see why changes havent worked so far, since we're talking about different
things obviously. So I asked if there is a value on the IM that is 1547 (or close to it),
but apparantly there is no such value...

What did they change when they did the PBB nerf a few years back? Whatever it
was dramatically decreased their ability to absorb damage (thank God)

We can always try to change and see what happen.

devs don't speak english... so that won't go...

I personally hope you're right, and that these values do not affect the thing we call
submergence. The coincidence with the SN ships was just to big to not try it out.

As much as I appreciate your effort trying to find a meaning, mm.
These are the incoherent results found.

QV is 4500
HE+AP is 3384

Nebraska is 4500
HE+AP is 3554

Kaiser is 4500
HE+AP is 3713

Pproject 2 is somewhere 1500
AP+HE is 2014

Yamato is somewhere 4300
AP+HE is 3276

Lion 2 is 3420 or 3410
AP+HE is 2308

EDIT: Can you ask them, how does ship absorb AP damage?
And how does AP damage work?
I think this might be the most obvious question we should have asked when we completely
skip it.

Bulk or not, as long as we don't do anything like patching damage system for sub. Anything,
but that.

You don't want to see how a full salvo of PHH (moltke with 5 HH launcher) does nearly 90k
and it might actually goes over 100k damage against sub.
Although, I have never test it myself, I am ready to put my whole reputation that if not doing
90k should be in that high, i.e. 80k+.

Also, is it possible to contact the developper, via, a dedicated email address just for this?
I mean like [email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

on SDEnternet they have some email address, but god knows, they are in korean and I can't
manage to figure what should I use to send.

"I think they changed the same value that bulk increases."

Afaik bulk only changes the point when you can't overheat anymore due to being damaged.
Not sure if it does anything else.

so how about telling them that this value is identical for monty, SY, H44, all BB6..

I think they changed the same value that bulk increases.

what did they change when they nerfed sub submergence not long ago? o.O

Oh, and to add; To experiment with the IM; make both the values 1 and see if
submergence is reduced/increased.

Ask them to do the same with Guns; to try and find a formula for range/damage etc. I
know Jimmyrox was close to a formula, but he needed to know hidden values.

It would make any future changes FAR easier and quicker.
