Spot saved.

No date given for now. I want people to have this mentally prepared and know the basic.

Summarize.
What this is.
Sit, take screenshot, torp, and image edit.
It sounds easy as hell, but becomes a nightmare if developping this test.
Therefore we split into 4 groups of people.

Bump

Hitboxes seriously need to be fixed on a large number of CVs, I find that sometimes bombs
fall right through the center of some CV decks. For example the Taiho and Yorktown have
horrible hotboxes that make it hard to divebomb properly even when not moving.

No they are the widest point of the ship to the length providing SDE didn't mess up the
hit box.

They don't have the ability with in this engine I believe, to make the hit boxes any other
way.

The hit boxes are all rectangular... It's the widest point of the ship to the lengths.
----

Dont you mean: "It should be the widest point of the ship to the lenghts."?

There are some ships I am not sure the hitbox is correct. e.g. Iowa, Yorktown.

Indeed, that is especially the issue with charlemagne.

There may be other ship that have this critical problem, it's just I haven't play with all
ships in NF.

Ah, I haven't thought about that. Good stuff.

Yeah, I know the duration is a problem, but even if you don't save the screenshots, it is
a good idea to use it in conjunction with other tests to get a feel of where the problems are.

For example, you do a torp test, identify there may be a problem with the front of the
Iowa, then you can do your AA test to confirm it. Its just a helpful indicator, whether
you choose to use it or not is completely up to you :)

Ah yes, it was fixed, and we will still need some reference ;)

Technichally, Torps are the best thing. They give the exact area.

The thing I do not like about torps, is the impact spot doesn't last long enough.
And mainly I suck big time with torp and hitbox test.

Unless, you can fast screenshot it is something I am incompetent to do.

Though I can still give a try.

**********************************

Ships that really need to check are

Charlemagne(done but we can still check if you guys want)
P24 (since people whine about its gigantesque hitbox)
Iowa (you guys know it)
Strassbourg (for god sake not another andrea doria)
All MN/SN BB1-2 (Hyper small hitbox, though they may be perfect)

They are currently the ship we obviously needs to check as priority. There are still other
important ship. However, I do not think it is realistic to test everything in a small test
session.

hence, the reason why I list few thing we test right now.

*H44 Hitbox was fixed with the Sprite change*

*BOOM* Splid delivers the Mythbuster *BOOM*

On a serious note, good idea to do this, might I suggest that the use of torps gives a
nice indication of where a hitbox is skewed which can help to identify problem ships richard?
