^^ true, I reread, adalbert's guide, and he clearly states only engies contribute to
engines.

and for the record, i agree with his post wholeheartedly.

OP asked if Reps/Restorers worked on Tslots/Rslots same as if they were put on the support
slot locations. Which the answer is yes.

From there, the thread strayed. KingKong said its less important about Engies in BO slots
of Prem ships as it is for Engine ability on BOs. The fact is Engine ability on any
sailor not classed as an Engineer is irrelevant, as they are not applied to the True
Engine Ability.

A BO DOES contribute Rep/Restore ability (as does any other sailor) regardless of position
on ship/support (BO is bad example as he can only be placed in one position).

In regards to this comment:
"Also if you want to take the scientific approach, theory holds true until proven false."

If you want to claim your statement as a theory there must be data/tests to prove it (and
4 images does not really prove much). Personally I take Adalbert's tests and results (as
well as personal experience supporting his results). And by your own definition, you
would have to disprove his theory, rather than others proving yours false.

I thought we meant does BO CLASS provide engineer skills like he does restore and rep?

"This is less important with Engies in the BO slots on the 5% of ships ---but more as BO
with engine ability on the BO slot for said 95% of ship you mentioned---.

Also if you want to take the scientific approach, theory holds true until proven false."

I'd suggest you take a closer look into that one. NO sailor other than engineers provides
to the True Engine Ability. Engineers used as BOs on premium ships contribute because
they are classed engineers.

image 1: no sailors- 44/59
image 2: Engie on support slot- 43/62 ok normal.
image 3: Engie on BO slot- 43/62 there you go.
image 4: Engie on T- slot 43/58 but we already know that.

This is less important with Engies in the BO slots on the 5% of ships but more as BO
with engine ability on the BO slot for said 95% of ship you mentioned.

Also if you want to take the scientific approach, theory holds true until proven false.

^no, actually, they do not. They cannot drive 95% of ships, and therefore dont work
on the BO slot of them. I have seen no proof showing me that their engineer ability
DOES work on the BO slot of the 5% of ships they do work on (premium ships) so i
would like to know where you found this from, and prove me wrong. Ive been wrong
before.

I assume you are new to the game.
Yes, reps & rests do their job on the T slots, & in fact anywhere on the ship.
Engys, Pilots, Sonar & Plansmen only work on the harbour slots. Tho they will
still level up anywhere else.

May I suggest you take a look at :

These will give you all the basics & are a great resource for new/old players alike.
