Many times you can bank on Amagi drives not able to handle their lower angles...
Particularly between 38-44. Even after playing SY, many people don't make the slight
adjustment to the Amagi and really struggle with the last few angles which can make a
rushing move easier (just don't be predictable). In any case I'd rather have 39 knots to
make my move than 35 w/armor.

Also bear in mind, an Amagi with room to move (such as outer tiles of HA) can kite like a
god. 6 second hang time while retreating = extra (percieved) range. And it can be a PITA
to get into range. All said in the end, manage your OH and hope they can't lol.

For an amagi as long as it stays between angles 40-45 it can penetrate any effective armor
whored ship in the game.

In that case I would count on an Amagi switching to AP under 40.

But if they were paying that much attention they would probably
attempt to run away instead of letting you continue to rush them.

Or at least that's what I would do.

Rushing at 35knts is hard to pull off when you already don't have
a range advantage even if the guns themselves are better for rushing.

He's more like in his QV, and want to know at which range he will be safe to rape the amagi.

38-39 degrees is pushing it. I've seen some bounce and some go through.

But why couldn't you keep an AW QV at max angle?

IIRC an AW QV goes 35 but Amagi goes 39 and with the 45 angle guns Amagi gets the range
advantage when running anyway but it already out ranges QV slightly.

I remember that you can still be safe at 38 or 39.

Might save you a day, when it's chasing you.


Amagi vs QV AW, 60k max. Else, we all know about the belt hit, etc.
On AW l2 or SW L2, 50k damage max.


Oh btw, it is impossible to bounce Amagi at max range with the ship in NF. You may
need, some ship with 22,23 or even 25"+

Below 40 degrees I would definitely start using AP.
