Alzheimers
At lvl 105 I tend to run 6 fighters and 2 Torps or 2 db depending on the
mood.... with a seaman for support. At lower levels I tended to run 3 to 4 db's
and a couple fighters. I did this because my fighters would get chewed up
pretty much instantly and I could get some decent attack for cash/xp for my
crew.

Have fun playing a CV ....Cheers!

It's common sense actually. I keep fighters up in the air above a BB5/6 and I cover a
good number of ships since all the small battleships like to stay near a big battleship
because it makes them less of a target etc. Also, for the CAP part above my CV, that
basically takes away any worries of being bombed while I'm off managing other planes,
as well as being scouted out. As for the bomb like a madman thing...honestly i do not
know where that came from lol. More common sense, If I sink a CV other than the flag,
then that's one less CV that my team's flagship has to worry about bombing and sinking
him. Do the math, you sink 1 CV then the flag, that's basically a huge help to your
team, because one of those CVs could be the reason why the enemy has air
superiority. So, on a 4 CV team, you knock out 2, that's half the CVs sunken. Granted
you haven't lost any CVs, you now have air superiority over their team and you can
then go on from there. And as I always say, everyone has their own playstyle, just
learn to tolerate them, who knows, they may be the guys who won you that last battle
to the ship you've always dreamed of.

"On my Yorktown I run 2 ftrs, 3 DB, and 1 DB in training. Normally I keep a CAP (combat
air patrol) up in the skies above my carrier to intercept any planes I can, as well as
keeping fighters near a BB5-6. I also bomb like a madman, with DBs taking up the bulk
of the planespace on my Yorktown. IMO TBs aren't worth using until T2, which is a long
and painful 30-level grind that isn't worth it, since your TBs will get chewed by AAW time
after time after time. My DBs rarely get shot down by AAW since I use manual bombing,
which you should try and learn before getting out of torpkrieg. "

If your looking to play in HA's or Fleet events, I would suggest against building these
habits.

For US CVs, here is my recommendation: Minimum of 4 Ftrs, 1 TB to help deal with SS or
PCLs, the rest DBs.

My personal setup on my Essex: 4 Ftrs, 1 TB, 1 DB, and 1 Seaman with good Ftr and
Bomber stats. (Yes, it does seem to help)
