There is one carrier, and that one carrier sees approaching dbs and fts.
He of course sends out fts.
I am an AA ship and I try to help with dbs.

Am I wrong to help out in the first place? Should I stay out?

After the threat ended he was upset about my conduct.

I do not exactly know when to AA, but I know basically what's accepted.

Here's my thoughts:

If the Friendly fighters are winning the fight against the enemy fighters. Do not AA.

If the friendly Fighters are winning the fight against the bombers, and it looks like
they
will all be shot down before they get to drop, do not AA.

If there are friendly fighters and they have not all shot down the bombers before
they
get close, or it looks like they will survive to drop, fire away kill them all.

If you are a good shot with AA, you can shoot down enemy planes with friendlies in
the air, while avoiding shooting down the friendlies. It just takes timing and aim, and
not spaming your shots.

As a CV driver there is nothing more annoying than having more of my fighters shot
down by friendly fire than the enemy.

it depends on the situation, in the 1st place the cvs should focus more on intercepting
bombers over no mans land and over enemy lines. When i AA if there were bombers
approaching a BB i would normally blast them and any friendly planes chasing them. The
only time i wouldnt would be if the friendly fighters had caught up and were allready
taking down the bombers, most of the time when this is the case is when friendly
fighters follow a bomber wave in from no mans land.

The other thing is, you get experts and credits by taking down as many planes as
possible, over friendly lines AA ships have priority over downing enemy planes, if your
CV are intercepting fighters here, then they are stealing the AA ships kills.

So my advice to you is, just shoot them down if they are in the way. If they complain
they are most likely noobs anyway

This.

I believe that when he isn't micro'ing his planes a.k.a circle of death, or that his planes
are suffering, then you have the opportunity to farm planes. I use that approach on my
AA tubs, and I net 1000-5000 in plane kills without anyone moaning. As a cv player as
well, I wouldn't mind you shooting down my planes with the above mentioned approach

Edited for word usage

So, my posts got hidden instead of edited (Which would have been the smart thing to do),
which leads me to assume that the FM that did it, is lazy. Not even a PM.

@ Topic

If a CV Driver is being terrible, then everything in the air is green for shootdown.

If enemy planes expose you or go for you or BB, shoot. If they go for CV let them.

If CV want more bombers to kill, then he can eat bombs in the face.

From CV point is annoying your planes to be killed by frendly AA, but noone keep his +t3
over frenly line so.....

Maybe the CV is doing a terrible job because the allied AA ships keep shooting down its
planes...

However as i don't like CVs who use fighters anyway, i encourage you to keep shooting
fighters indiscriminately
