i have torps on my brook, and now on my cleveland.

4 torp launchers = 4x128 lbs = roughly 500 lbs for torps, so I lose about .5" of armor.
But if I shoot off a wave I'm guaranteed to kill 2-3 DDs. Thats roughly 15K expereince
right away and 1000 credits.

To get 15K damage with a 6" guns coutning that only 3/4 of your ammo hit, you'd need about
5-6 salvos, during those salvos those DDs htat would otherwise be dead would be pounding
you with 4/5 or 6" guns. Making you lose about 3000-4000 health.

So in my opinoin having torps and using them wisely is better than having slighly more amor.

Because since DDs carry torps also, you might not get off that 3rd shot because some noob
got lucky with his torps, but if you do the wave you'll get your 1000 credits so even if
you die you'll still make money

guess. The NH does suck because i beat one many times with my Atlanta.

When ever I see a CL or CA with torps (Beisdes Kuma/Kita) I just start laughing so
hard it hurts.

I then proceed to tell them to get torps off of their ship and when they ask why I
go "Bceuase you have 6" (8, 9, w/e) inch guns.. SHOOT THEM! Toprs just take more
time ot set up when you can shoot a couple of times with 6"'

no aa no torp. it sucks both on nh , just get alot of armor

I just got rid of all my AA guns, way better.

Dont put any torps or AA.

Use all the displacement on armour. NH needs it

You can only put single 5" AA guns on the T slots... So thats only 4 shells at once... If you're realy good with AA and have good AA gunners... you can do that... If you put torps on, you only get x3 launchers and NO torpedo space, meaning none of the launchers will reload... so once you shoot them, thats it. That may be ok if its a last ditch effort, but you should just save the space for extra armor. the T spots on NH is kinda useless... dont put torps on it... God kills a puppy every time a CL+ equips torps... and AA would be minimal... Armor is your best bet.

Anti-air. Once you get in a CA you're a prime target for carriers, I say this out of experience because I just got my Northampton and just realized how much getting bombed sucks. Plus, if you do decide to put torps on it, you can only fit like, 3 torps per tube which is only one shot, I suppose it would be good in a tight situation though. But definately go with AA.
