I used the double 5/38's (level 20) guns with APC and a single torp launcher.

That allows max crew size and also then the second trop slot can be used to level
new crew. I really liked this setup until I got a DDX <g>.

Use the torps mainly for defense in the above setup and try to range the other ship.
Fairly high angles, APC, rapid fire = good damage amounts and good exp for your
gunners! I had some games in the 20K damage range with this setup and many in
the 10K range.

Gunners importance grwos as your ship grows and torps importance lowers.

u can use just the 3x4 launchers...
torp whore somers and go about 62 knotsor something
can only get one reload on though iirc

i use uh...whatever the 2x4" guns are...L version
and 3 of the quad torp launchers...got an alaska and two oyodos with them lol =D

I use the dual 6"ers/

U might only be able to load 1 bind on it, but if you are good, thats all you need in all
DD rooms. Two close-in broadsides, and the other ship is toast :)

I have the same outfit as you except those 2 binds of APC.
Works good for close in combat and torpedo duelling :)
But how is your crew ? Mine is minimal...

For mine I used the 5"/38 N's, I think, might have been the d's, and 2 4x launchers so i
could control them with only one torper.
