how can you get that speed?

im getting 42kts and 53emergency...

current setup:

- 4 dual 5.9's (the normals, not L or D)
- 5x torp and a 4x torp
-5 full crew (one empty slot)
-no armour
-heavy DDII engine

i tried this without the torps, and i got a 1 or 2kt improvement...

how can you get that speed? i see z99 zipping past me, nomatter if im emergency
speed or not >< - what am i doing wrong?

My DD I built it as an ANTI TW killing machine now. I can take a full 4-5 torps before i'm
sunk now, unless they are those 24" torps then I would say 2-3. I maxed out my bulge on
the ship but i'm still faster than most other DDs types other than other Z99s which most
put deck armor on their ships which weighs them down as much as mine.

With a full load of crew, bulge, guns ammunitions, torps you can still get a speed of
48-51knots which isn't bad.

1. get gunners so it will help you with bigger guns and have more power.

2. You should get a manual one because germany outrange every nation. Its best
to learn starting from the beginning..because it will come backt o haunt you if you
don't

3. That should be an average speed for z99. if you were to unload everything
andhave nothing on ur z99... u can go max 79kt with no problem. faster then a FF
going max at 74 only. Just don't put too much stuff on your ship, as your better an
outranging and speed. keep it to that and you will be good. If you want close
range..u'll do heavy damage.

do i want an aaw soldier? i have 2 gunners, a support, and a spare arm solder to
make aaw or gunner

Choose heavy, the more speed the better. DDs don't need long overheat speed, you just need
a tad to avoid torps.

just bought it, im not sure about the engine... go the heavy with 7sec emergency
speed? or the medium with 13sec? is there a difference in the general running
speed?

My Z99 doesn't have armor and I do fine in the game.

go w/o armor, u'll be fine

60K for hull. 20-25K for guns and torps. Another 15K for FCS and engine.

w/o armor, your looking at approximately 100K more or less

it costs that much to me :P

and since german is my main race, i want it to be smooth, no stuff ups
