There is a pro and con with the Type 93 M3's, over the type M1's. You gain explosive power but you lose a little max distance. So if you use the 60 knot ones you better be real close or they will explode before they get there. But the 36 knot ones are very slow but if you hit a CL with just one they will more than likely sink because I think the HE rating on it is around 18k.

i would like to know too is there access to faster and more powerfull torps with longer range

i always wondered that myself, damn shame i am about 10 lvls away, which is a lot of experince points.
