Screw it, I am going with the Brook. Im at lvl 37 and was trying to decide, but I think
my mind is made up.

So Anubis, you're recommending the triple 8"/55 Mark 13 guns?

Does the range advantage of those guns overcome the rate of fire difference from
the triple 6"/47 Mark 16 guns that the Brook would be using?

Find guns that when used will propel you in the opposite direction and thus away
from any enemy, as all will probably kill you... Im with texan, i couldn't find an
effective way to use it so im back in the oak.

That said, warlords right about the 8" duals. Still outranged, but by less but the
spread is horrible and you probably can't see em land anyway...

For the price of 1 less 8"inch barrel. U can pack the following..
a+B +(c or d) + e + f
a.) 3.0" deck and 1" belt
b.) 5 Knot speed advantage
c.) 100 rpg with slightly less range than NH
d.)40 rpg with more range than NH (NH carries 53 rpg)
e.) 12,000 credits saving on hull..
f.) 21,000 saving on engine

Yeah, I use the tripple 8's, 2.0 inches of deck, 2.0 inches of belt, and however much
bulge I can fit.

here is what i wrote in another topic, if you are interested in knowing how to use
the NH well. (This is for you, too, tex.)

"The NH is actually a whole lot better than most people say it is, so long as you can
afford it and fully armor it. It costs 660k to buy and use, and another 400k to armor
well. Its a far cry from the brooklyn's price, and nobody can afford the NH at level 38
(assuming this is their first and only crew).

If you get the NH, you must be lvl 40 and be able to have 700k at the time of
purchase.

Use the mk 13 N. Carry both light and heavy HE. I use 3 bind of heavy and 1 bind of
light for AW, and vice versa for CL/CA games.

The triple 8" 55 MK 13 N's with normal HE are the best combo in my opinion. It gives
you a good combo of weight, range, rate of fire and firepower on target. The dual
8"s give you less shells on target and have a bad spread so at long range usually
only one shell hits. The AP ammo is useless and the light HE has longer range but a
weak on target boom, the heavy HE is powerfull but you lose range. The L guns are
heavier, hold less ammo and have a higher rate of fire.

No matter what you do there is a trade off, you need to decide what best fits your
style.

as a former nh user with lvl 51 gunners, i tell you i can't find a effective way to use a
NH, i could be wrong and some other people found a decent set up. however the
best thign i could come up with is staying with my trusty atlanta/oakland set-up 5/54
