Okay, so here's the deal:
I got
P4 3.0 Ghz
1 Gb of ram on 4 256mb chips
and...
Ati radeon 9100...

I can't run anything newer game on good graphics. (exept source-games run with about 30
fps on full graphics!!!) You people got any cards you could recommend in about 300e budget?

I'm falling for Nvidia 7800 series now. It was just so poor to look at the graphic options
of HL2 that says:

software directX version: 9.0c
hardware directX version: 8.1 :D

Another suggestion that you may or may not have tried.

Omega drivers.

Ati's x800 series of cards is highly rated. Also the recommended video card for running
Elder Scrolls 4, Oblivion.

Comes in either PCI Express or AGP (3.0, 8x, 4x) flavors.

Prices on range from $250-$300 US, which should fall well under your 300e budget, given
that the euro is worth something like $1.40 US. $300 US converts to 235.497 euro's. Even
have a bit left over to give yourself a RAM boost if you so desired. :)

Edit: transposed Euro and US conversion rate.

Bemme
Iam using a nVidia 7800GTX, that card is so dam n fast!
I would recommend using a 7800er good prices and good perfomance, 7800GT is the best
MidPrice Card avaible!
But buy a card from a good producer like: GAINWARD, MSI, SPARKLE or LEADTEK!

Its worth getting a Card that u can use for the newest games, otherwise you will see that
you cant run a new game in the next 3months!

TAKE NVIDIA!
ATI sucks :D

nVIDIA 6800 GTX? That's a decent card and wouldn't cost around 500 euro (?) so I would think.

I have one and runs Doom III and F.E.A.R decently but prone to overheating that I have to
chuck a pedistal fan infront of it. Besides that, I can run all of my current games at
full settings or normal settings.
