torps on the brook do help, to cover a retreat, kill a dd that gets to close so you can
keep your guns on bigger targets. you can't really carry aa guns on the brook so
why not carry torps i have two tubes on both sides

I host a lot of ME vs DD/FF/CL games...i'd rahter have torps and be able ot kill 2-3 DDs,
sometimes a CL, from the start, than have an extra .5 of armor.

Because its pretty hard to win with jsut guns and armor against 8-10 ships out of which 1
is a CL1 or a CL2, 3 are Z99/DDX, and the rest shoot off all their torps as soon as they
see you.

Exactly dark. Whenever I see a brook or cleve with torps, I just laugh at them. They
apparenty don't know that thye are called a GUN ship.

Cleve owns with 8N's. You have are nolonger outranged by many other ships of your class
and you get great armor.

If you're putting torps on a US cl, then you dont know what you're doing. YOU SHOULDN"T
EVEN CONSIDER torps on a US cl, let alone any CL's except the jap ones.

Cleveland is the better ship.. However, u will need about 1 million to to buy and
armor one.

I had both, at first I had a brook then I tried baltimore and didn't like it w/o armor so
I got the cleveland to try something new.


Brooklyn Pros:
5 cannons
8 torp slots
12 Points on the weight board

Cleveland Pros:
1500 or so more health
can carry a lot more armor
can carry 5x Type 15(12K damage) torps
has better torp angles(I suprised quiet a few DDs that were chasing me with the rear
torpedo launch)
14 points on the weight board

Honsetly if you compare fully armored 1 vs fully armored other they are more or less the
same with cleveland getting a few bonus points due to the increased health.

If you compare them wihtout full armor, Brooklyn is more effective since it has more guns
and can kill the target faster.


Conclusion: If you have a brooklyn upgrading to a Cleveland is a waste. If you are
choosing 1 out of 2, Cleveland is a better option.

Brooklyn I would recommand, if you get high enough level, you can line shoot with it,
making it deadly against DD, and painful against other CL+

Just to put it more simply the Clevland is kinda like a remoldel of the brook, genreally
the Clev has more displacement so you can have more armor and better T mounts
so you can mount AA guns more effiectively, also you can mount Dual 8 N's which
have more range then the D verison but same ammo ammount as if u had dual 8 d's
on a brook but still you can use the d version of 8" much more effectively on clev
then a brook cause bigger ammo hold.

but if your prefering to have 6"triples go with a brooklyn mainly cause it can use it
more effectively cause of that extra mount, also dont bother with AA on a brook
cause i belive you cant mount any good ones or that it takes up too much weight
