The brook can fit 8D's. I thought the purpose of going to the cleveland was to use
the 8N's for better range in CL/CA games?

Every ship has a different style of play. I went all three ships and I think I like the
Cleveland more than any of them. I used to call it my mini-CA. Put some 8"ds with
light/heavy mix and you have CA firepower. Not to mention the fact that it wieghs
twice what a York does (17 vs 9). Also its a good idea to start learning AA with
decent guns, as you will need them more in the higher level ships. I had an
awesome time with my Cleveland and I highly recommend it.

I would stay in brook until you are able to afford a Baltimore or Alaska straihgt cash.
Reason for that is that in a BB it will be extremely hard to find games for you. So that
you can go back to your CL when you get tired of getting killed in All welcome games by
CVs, and in CL/CA/BB games by every other BB thats better than the Alaska

I would Stay with Brook Until you get to Alaska or even Guam....

I played a friends account for awhile and he had a Balt and a Brook. I sucked so
bad in the Balt mainly beucase people tend to target you first in the bigger ship. In
a CL/CA game, people tend to target the CA's due to the better EXP they get. And
in AW games, I get targeted by bombers. So in the Brook, I did much better. I got
more EXP for hitting CA's from a CL and I did from a CA. So that kinda made up for
the EXP difference. I may get a Balt if I have the cash and I get tired of the Brook,
but I think it is very possible to get to lvl 54 in a Brook.

Cleveland is a yes and no depending on your cash reserve, but getting the baltimore is a must.

1) thats way too much grinding in the brook.
2) the balt is a very good ca, no need to skip like the average not really worth the money

3) most importantly, youll get money and xp penalty for staying in brook. u think wtf??
why. its a system so high lvl players wont want to use dds and cls to own every1. they do
that now yes, but they get really crappy xp and money for how much damage they do. if u
get balt asap, if u did the same amount of damage as ur brook did. ull get the same amount
of cash

I am staying with my brook until I reach the Alaska.

actually since i had the cleveland, if you are very accurate with aiming FCS, and have
a good spread with your gunners, use the 8" Ns, it gives you the chance to range
other CLs


but, when your gunners get good with the trip 6", you can make upwards of 2200
exp in a brooklyn
