There is only 1 use for this gun. The AAA ammo it packs can blow just about
anything out of the air with one shot.

Its so huge and heavy, you can only stick this gun on a Brooklyn/Cleveland R mounts
and play Super Flak Ship or....

there are 4 BBs that can fit it on T mounts with only 1 bind of ammo for them.

Otherwise, its pretty useless.

The 6/53's are great on the DDX. With Lvl 53 BO/Gunners, I get good spread, and
the light weight means I can level fully-crewed 30ish sailors in the other slots, and
still fit 8 bulkhead armor.

And they are VERY good against CA if you get close, and 1-on-1 with a decent
Brooklyn is still a 50/50 proposition.

lol, pwned many a noob CA maybe... I tried the 6"/53s cos they way a lot less.
They're pathetic. Poor spread, poor deflection, poor rate of fire, poor
damage/second. Dropped back to 5/54Ds by taking off my supports and bingo.
Gained more experts than i did with the 6" and did more damage with only 4 of them
loaded.

They have 6"DP guns? Ooh... Anyways, the ddx 6" guns aren't crap, I have pwned many a CA
with them.

They are talking about the DP guns commander, not the light and crap 6inchers you
put on the DDX and some atlantas

Umm, that is not true, the 6" guns are a lot lighter than the 5"/54 guns.

The dual 6" 47 is so heavy that with no secondaries, no armor, removing all crew
except the B/O
and two main gunners I could only get three of these beasts in my Oakland.

While it is a powerfull gun, the rate of fire is too slow to be effective against DD's or
planes. Since you can only load three of them you do not have enough firepower to
outgun any CL's or CA's and with no armor you will be food for everything out there.

I do not recall the exact range but it was not impressive so probably about the same
as the dual 6" 47, maybe less.
