Ive been told that several times that the jap supporters are not very good.
But still its better than none at all, my question is what would the best configuration
be. 2repairers and 2 restorers plus an engineer, or 3rest and 1rep plus 1eng
or other?

In short get the best solution out of a limited support line

if you have 5 slots, 2 Restorers, 3 Repairs, 4 slots, 2 restorers 2 repair... 3 slots 1
restore 2 repair

On (for example) Mogami CL in All Welcome I use 2 rep only and I have 50 SD, two
others slots are occupied by AA gunners and one for scout. I have 3 rests (2 IJN, 1
KM <--- even with 30% penalty is better than Jap, remember dont convert exp to
vets on allied sailor, because vets dont count on non-nation sailor),5 reps, 1 seaman
and 1 eng and switching them depending on game type and ship in use. All my Jap
suport is +12 base (not all support stats +12 but only desired stat) :). Dont train Jap.
REST if he is below +12 base.

From my point of view. Using restorers in All Welcome is pointless because probably
you will die:
-from blockshot
-from other BB shot
-from dive bombers
-from torpedo wall

3 first things - restorer wont help you, you will dead in a second
Last - torpedo wall - you need repairers after few hits not restorers.

SD raise with lvl of your sailors (not only support but also BO, gunners, aa gunners
an so on). SD is counted from abilities of sailors - more white bars the better.
Restorers add most SD, but Jap Rests are pathetic. On a big ships like CA, BB and CV
you must have one Seaman. He is really worth of lvl up. For IJN look primary for
support stats, and +12 rest a must. Seaman helps with reload (+10 rld will do since
Jap gunners are balanced with acc/rld), repair, restore and engines. Ideal guy: +12
rld/+12rep/+12rest/+12 eng but you wont find such. Then look for +10 rld/+12rep/
+12rest/+xx eng. It will be very good. Neutrals to buy with +12/+12 stats are rare
and expensive but after lvl 50 it will payoff.

Well jap armor sucks, so I would assume 2 restorers and a repairer since restorers
add to your soft defense, or at least thats what I have.
