I am currently going to use AA guns in order to earn more credits.I have an oakland and i am not sure which AA guns to use and which ammo is better,AAA or AAC.There was a thread about it in the old forums but i cannot find it anymore.
Any help would be appreciated.

5" 54 is better at AA if you never miss...

Yes you have a greater advantage with the better firing rate and the longer range. Best for several squadrons of planes. However, the 5" does well too. So it's really your own personal taste. For me, I prefer the 3" 70.

I think I should try that, my config is all R slots have 5" 54 duels, and I carry 2 binds of AAA, I shot down 4 DB's in one vooley which was very amazing but there was 5, and i only shot down 4 and i had 1260 DP left, guess what happened.

PS. Nope it didn't hit, I'm lucky, it missed, LOL.
Oh, cubone, your avatar is a warning to all CV Users, and unfortunately, I just got my CV, and btw, are the 3" 70 better than the 5" 54, because of its rate of fire and its high caliber?

Oh and for support crew, I don't use them myself, but if you are in the safe side, you would put in those support crew. However, it's better if you just toss the support crew and add in some more bulge.

Well you can go for speed, but these days, expectations of torp walls and torp bombers after your behind is an issue. If you go without bulge, then one torp can ruin your day along with the bombers. So.... put on some bulge and you don't even have to worry about torps that often. Don't listen to prodigy, I am the righteous one!!!!

I suggest you don't put any buldge and get heavy engine so you have better speed and bigger overheat and you can dodge torps 98%, also don't put any support crew - only bo and aa / rld gunners ... you don't need support =.=

Also you guys know that a ddx can fit 3"70's quite well plus the fact that it's smaller in size and faster alothough it cant shoot as many bullets in the air then the atlanta can, it can dodge DB'ers and TB'ers much better just my opinon, but not to stray off topic... yea cubone's avatar is somewhat annoying when it reminds me when he flaks my whole air force down ><

Hi astrayed,

For US I use the dual 3"/70D with ordinary rld gunners, AAA shells. This is if you dont want to use AAgunners, otherwise Cubones suggestion is the best...

For KM I use a Z1 with five 3.46" AAguns and AAgunners, at least lvl30.

omg they took out my tutorials about AA ><!

*sigh*

oh well. I am too lazy to make another tutorial, so I'll just give you a crash course.

For the CL Oakland. I prefer 3"70 A type guns loaded with mostly 10 binds of AA and 10 binds of HE. You need this much since AA takes up a lot of ammo. The HE doesn't really matter.

You should have some bulge in that ship. I have 70+ bulge. You should have a minimum of 50. In this ship you should use your BO, AA Gunners, and a few support crew.

Use Accuracy radar and engine doesn't really matter.
