Formation is possible...there was a post that translated from a NF CHN forum on how to make a TB formation and use it effectively; however, it is very tricky and will take a lot more getting used to.

YOU DO HAVE A CHOICE ON FORMATION.
its practice of makeing them ance about the screen in the right way and that will remove their formation or ad a formation, its jsut alot of practice

To use torpedo bombers effectively, you must first know how to manualy lower them and drop the torps.

You have NO choice on the formation nor do you have a choice on the torpedo speed.

To raise altitude hold down L to LOWER altitude, use the "," key. when they are on the deck of the water you can drop your torpedos by hitting "." key.
