Post fail pictures here, so far I haven't seen one that surpasses the failure of a
certain
group of people on these forums.

should have had wyoming with taffy 3 at leyte. she then could have used uber h4x HA skillz
to kill the japanese battle line while taffy 3's fighters kept them blind ^^

Hazegrey, amen. =)

Yes, the Wyoming class was de-militarized in accordance with the Washington Naval
Treaty. The Wyoming and Arkansas were retained as gunnery training ships. One
(the Wyoming) was converted to the new dual-purpose mounts for AA training, and
the other (the Arkansas) retained her dual 12" guns for large calibre gunnery
training.

Neither was used in a battle line in WW2. Wyoming was used as an AA platform in
convoy escort duty, while Arkansas accompanied supply convoys and transports and
assisted in island bombardment with her 12" guns.

Given what we know about the ranges of those 12" duals in Navy Field, I'm
guessing the Wyoming with her 5/38's would have more range. =P

You all FAIL!

BB-32 USS Wyoming was converted to AG-17 in the 1930s and the main battery
removed to comply with a series of international naval non-proliferation treaties
origanlly kicked off by the Washington Treaty of 1922.

You FAIL.

Big shells cost more. Duh.

Plus, why waste 14" and 16" ammo training when it can be better used blowing up the enemy.

on thing i never understood

the US navy took the main guns off old battleships and put small one sin their place and
used them as training ships correct? Why not just leave the guns alone and TRAIN gun crews
with guns of a larger size...rather then small 5" guns

i mean, if the idea was later on to sink the ships as targets, then maybe i would
understand, but most of the time that was not what happened, so why even bother
