I don't understand why people would give up the massive firepower advantage for a range
advantage that is pretty much non-existent.

Numbers != everything. Remember that the Alaska's 12" triples outdamage the 14" Mk 9 and
Mk 10 on a per-shell basis, and the L1's 16" triples are at least on par with the Yammy's
18.1"s.

It's all cosmetic and for show; the Monty's 16" triples offer enough overkill to one-shot
most targets as they are right now anyways.

i think the range is fine, just want an extra 5 k damage per salvo and/or a slightly
shorter reload time

I've used the 18" for awhile...quite fun...spread was pretty good. They mostly land
at the same range either in one spot or in 1 line. Had to adjust to the different
angles though...

Wish it just have a bit more range though then it will be perfect.

Yeah I was going to say. I've 1-shotted 2-gun Lions with the 18". I've never had
anything bounce them.

i got 35 OH, since my crew is only 108 apart from gunners which are 113

I got 57k XP, sunk a bb6 if im not mistaken (may have been another game my memory isnt
that great) with a gold sub

Oh yeah, nothing stops the 18s, a L1 at 35 doesnt bounce the shells

And you pay for increased penetration by longer hangtime. Each has pros and cons.
